It was the day before Hollween. Hollween was Alex's favorite day of the year even above her own birthday and as she got ready for school she saw the light flicker making her frown as she sighs and walks to her moms room seeing her getting ready.

"Do you need some money?" Alex asked Georgia, making her look up at her daughter in shock.
"Why would you think that?" Georgia asked Alex as the lights flicker again making Alex ries an eyebrow as her mom just groans a little. "No I am not taking your money I will take care of it."
"Are you sure?" Alex asked Georgia who nodded, making Alex sigh. "Can you help me with my hair tonight?" She asked Georgia who smiled as she looked up at her.
"Of course, especially science, you are going as Lana Del Rey." Georgia tells Alex who smiles that she was happy she came up with the idea of going as favorite singers.
"And me, Rowan and Hazel are staying at Rowan's tomorrow night. We are watching all of the scream movies and some of the Friday the 13th movies, eating candy and I will probably be home late." Alex tells her making Georgia nod as they both walk downstairs and Alex grabs her bag and gives her mom a kiss on the cheek before walking out the door.

After school was working but luckily today was her favorite tip of the day. She got to bake all day making cookies and muffins and other kinds of things. It was good practice for culinary school.
"Yeah what can I take outfront?" Joe asked when he walked into the back and Alex looked around before putting a couple of cantors of desserts on the counter next to him.
"All of these." She told him before going back to work.
As she worked she couldn't help but think about what her mom was going to do about the fact they were broke. Alex didn't know why her mom just wouldn't take the money she had a lot of money saved up mostly because she really didn't ever spend it because she was saving for after high school.
She had all of her money from all her jobs in one place as her money from her dad was in another place all hidden away.
"Hey you okay?" Joe asked when he walked into the back seeing Alex who seemed in thought.
"Yeah just.....nothing." She lies as she gives him more stuff to put out front, making him frown.
"You sure?" He asked her making Alex who just nodded. Joe stood there for a few seconds before walking away.
When Alex sees he is gone she runs her hand over her face as she takes a deep breath trying to make herself calm down and she does that until her mind lets her be free of stressful thoughts.
When Alex got home from work she walked up to her room and fell into bed and just looked at her ceiling until she fell asleep letting herself feel calm for the first time today.
