Broken lovers- a Chase and Madelyn story

CHAPTER 21

Two months later, November.

Here am I, knocking at his door in the morning, hoping that I don't meet with anyone in this lonely but large hall.

He finally opens it.

-Finally- I say laughing as I enter in his apartment.

-Hey I was sleeping what did you expect- he says playfully pushing my shoulder back.

-Another reason to give me your second pair of keys- I say sitting at his comfy couch, right next to his dog.

-I told you that Drew has them, and he won't give them back to me, just steal them from him- he says laughing sitting next to me.

-he is like 10 feet taller than me- I say to him.

-I'll help you- he says grinning while rolling his eyes- but only because i don't want you to wake me up every morning not because I want you here or anything like that- he says shaking his head.

-yeahh absolutely not Austin- I say laughing.

That's it, he always found a way to make me laugh. Austin has been helping me a lot lately.
When I went back to work after all that happened everyone tried to act as normal as possible with me, which i thanked a lot.
I started hanging more with Drew and Austin and they made me really happy.
I also hanged with the others, even with Chase, but we aren't that close anymore.

"I miss him being around" my mom always tells me, he still visited her but again, not as much as he used to.
He is now more with Rudy, Madison and JD and they usually do parties at his apartment, I just don't go because I feel like I have more fun with Drew and Austin.

We have officially wrapped filming obx season 1 so now we kind of have to leave the apartments and I was helping Austin since he was a total mess. He was going back to Ohio and I was going to miss him a lot.

-I am gonna miss you a lot- I say looking at him.

-Ohhh look at her, she's gotten sensitive- he says laughing.

-What i am supposed to do now- I say to him.

-Go back to LA? if you want to or stay here- he says while shrugging -but i'll visit you, so that you don't miss me that much.

I roll my eyes and I see him getting closer when Drew enters the apartment.

-Heyyy, hope I didn't interrupt anything- he says smiling.

I immediately feel embarrassed and I rub my nape- no, you didn't- I say laughing a little bit.

Don't get me wrong I didn't feel anything for Austin, but he sometimes tried to get closer to me and I did not know what to do. I didn't want to reject him because it would ruin my friendship but at the same time I didn't want to have anything with him. I couldn't see him as something more than a friend.

-Yeah, whatever- Drew says- you wanted to disassemble your bed right Austie??

-don't call me like that drew pie- he says standing up not looking at me because he was probably embarrassed- but yeah let's do it, um..Maddie you can put things into boxes or stuff like that- he says, not even looking at me.

I stand up from the sofa and I start putting things in boxes with the name of "decoration" "weird stuff"...

Some minutes later I see Drew coming back to the Kitchen, looking for a bottle of water.

-Hey Maddie- he says as he walks to where I was.

-yeah?- I say stop putting thing on the boxes and directing all my attention to him.
