Meeting the father - Nicolo Russo

Michele waited for Luciana outside her highs school he'd text her last night, they'd been texting back and forth till midnight. Until his eyes finally gave in and closed. She walked out alone. He smiled, she returned his smile. "Is everything okay Michele? You didn't say why you text last night."

"I was just making sure you were okay after all the booze you got through."

"There's something else."

"My father found out about you?"

"How?"

"Our dumb driver, Leonardo."

"Oh."

"You're not mad about it are you."

"No. It's not like I'm ever going to meet him is it?"

"Well actually."

"Please don't say I have to meet him. I'm not good with parents, god I don't even get on or talk to my father."

"He insists. I'm sorry Lu but he wouldn't take no fro an answer."

"Fine." She sighed. "So when do I have to meet him?"

"Now."

"Now?"

"Yes now."

"Bu ..Bu I have to go home. My parents, well my dad he will flip a mental if I'm not home straight after school."

"Call tell them your with your boyfriend meeting his parents or dad which ever you chose."

"This is going to be good. He thinks I'm an angel and I aren't interested in boys."

"We all change Lu call them."

"Okay."

"From in the car."

"Okay." She said nervously as he opened the door l she slid in he followed sitting next to her. He closed the door passing her the car phone. "Do it off this, your mobile won't work in here."

"Okay.'

She took it off him dialling the number she just hoped her mom would answer thank god. "Hello."

"Hey mom is me Luciana."

"Where are you?"

"I know this is short notice but I've been invited to a friends for dinner."

"And who is this friend Lu- chi- Anna?"

Oh shit I'm in trouble.

"Michele."

"And where does this Michele live?"

I looked at him I hadn't got a clue. He slipped me a card. "221 Summers Avenue."

"Okay, is he going to bring you bsck or do you want your father to pick you up?"

I swallowed. "He'll drop me off tell dad not to worry, okay."

"Okay, behave.

"I will."

"Next time a little more warning okay?"

"Sure mom thanks."

"Be good.'

"I will.'

"No later that 10 pm, Luciana."

"Sure mom thanks, bye."

"Bye. She gave Michele the receiver he put it down. "Wow the tension, is wow."
