Hey my love! You're back huh? I really appreciate it💘
NARRATOR's POV:
Lana muttered, "I think... I may... I may have found it", a faint grin appeared on her face. She finally knew what to do next.
She walked away from the hostel, back towards the woods that she had travelled from. The suitcase was heavy, her arms felt numb, she was dragging it relentlessly through the pavement. The road was mostly empty with 1-2 vehicles passing by every 5-10 minutes. Her plan wasn't concrete but she had no other choice. She couldn't rent a hotel for too long, she HAD to find a hostel.
__________________________________It had been 30 minutes since she had been strolling down the road, the sun was almost below the horizon, the road got darker, emptier, quieter. There were only a few headlights and road lamps that were lit up, helping Lana to see the way ahead of her.
God just help me this once, don't let me come back empty-handed. I really want this to work out. Amen, she juggled her pendant.
She was panting, exhausted from all the travelling she had done today.
———————————————————————Lana was finally there. "The Disciplinary House For Girls", she could see the blurry silhouette from outside the forest.
It was past 6pm and the sun had completely set down, the road was empty and she had no backup plan. If this plan didn't work out, she'd be sleeping on the road or even worse.
Lana dragged her suitcase through the crusty road, into the deep, bushy forest which had some sort of eerie vibe. The trees were huge and the floor of the woods was densely covered in bushes, thick shrubs that measured upto Lana's knees.
Her denims had turned muddy, her tightly twisted ponytail had now become loose, she felt an odd wave of coldness around her. With every step that she took, she felt weirder.
The hostel was deep inside the woods and it was abnormally darker and colder.Lana darted her eyes, her head swung side to side to find an escort. Sadly, she found no one. Just her and the owl's weird noises. She felt creeped out.
__________________________________There it was. She could see the hostel, right in front of her. It looked.... Ghoulish. The building looked like it hadn't been renovated in at least 50 years, maybe more. There was an enormous growth of fungi on the outskirts of the building. The bushes and the garden didn't look like what they were supposed to. The white paint on the building had turned brownish.
Wow so this is the place...
It's so nasty in here. I don't know if this place even has people living in it, she scoffed. She looked up at the windows and to her surprise, the lights were lit up of almost every window she could see. She felt this to be a bit peculiar because just a few moments ago, it was dark outside with no signs of any light but she didn't give it much thought because it didn't occur to her as important as it should've. She took a deep breath and prepared herself for the ride.
Hoof, let's go, she huffed.
She dragged her suitcase with her almost swollen hands, her feet had barely any life in them and her eyes were on the verge of shutting, her body was on the brink of collapsing. If this plan of hers didn't work out, she'd probably be sleeping in the forest.
Ok wow... What's that smell?, Lana pinched her nose.
Shit it's really bad- she sniffed.
A fetid odour wrapped itself around Lana as soon she waddled in.—————————————————————————
