Hi! Have fun <3

Narrator's Pov:

"Hello?"
"You hear me? Laila?"
"Hellooo?"
Lana whispered on the phone but the line got cut abruptly. She checked her cell network and discovered that there were no network bars.

"Dang!", she cursed, "must've been due to the horrendous location of this hostel", she scoffed and strolled towards her room which was just a few steps away from the stairs, right across the huge painting.

The door to room "306" was oddly distinct from all the other doors. Neither the colour of her door was black, nor the number plate was silver. It was unlike all the rooms in this hostel.

The door was darkish red and there was a golden number plate that had started to rust over the corners.

Lana's head was pre-occupied with the stress of college and the overwhelming thoughts of being in a new city, around new people. It was a fresh start to her early Adulthood.

She didn't give the outer appearance of the door much thought and barged in while aggressively twisting the key inside the lock. The door knob made a rough click as Lana pushed it open.

She huffed, "Now this is something".

The interiors of the room were very questionable to say the least. It was a room for 2 with two single beds that appeared more like hospital beds, placed at the adjacent corners, a small study desk with an uncomfortable chair and a balcony that had a huge door, covered by beige muddy curtains and a small desk just beside it. The walls and floor were covered with spider webs and were damp from extreme exposure to moisture making the overall interior even more unsettling.

The odour of the room was extremely unpleasant, like it hadn't been inhabited in years. The furniture had gathered dust and the bed sheets that looked like they were once white were now covered in brown dust.

Lana sneezed as soon as she set her foot inside the room which was soon followed by frequent coughs. Her eyes wailed with tears and her cheeks turned purple, she hurled.

"Oh God!", she cried out loud while covering her mouth, "So much for a fresh start?", Lana sighed and shut the door behind her.

It was just her and the rest of the world's dirt for the night.
