Me and Jake have been dating ever since high school and now that we're 20 and engaged I have decided I want to show him to my parents. I told them I was dating someone but I didn't want to bring him into our family mess, my family was one of the biggest and successful company but with the money came drama and I hated it and being with Jakey was an escape.

Me and Jake were standing outside my fathers office where my family was waiting, he held my hand and squeezed it as I looked up at him and pecked his lips. I knocked on the door and my father called for me to enter, as soon as I walked in I regretted it. My father was seated at his desk with his arms crossed looking intimidating as always, my mother was standing next to him no expression what's so ever and my brother Heeseung was leaning on the wall smirking to himself the dumb fuk.

As I made eye contact with my father I got nervous and turned around to leave but Jake held me back and pulled me into a hug while whispering "everything is going to be okay" I just nodded and took a deep breath as I turned to face my family.

"Appa, eomma, Heeseung Oppa this is my fiancé Jake" my parents looked at him judging while Heeseung walked over to him and pulled him into a bro shake or whatever people call it "welcome to our fucked up family bro but if you ever hurt Y/N I will murder you myself" I rolled my eyes as he turned to me and ruffled up my hair "good luck lil sis" I smiled confused but happy with Heeseungs support.

I turned to my parents waiting for their reaction and finally my father spoke "well thank you for keeping my dear daughter happy all these years but she'll be getting married to my friends son Park Sunghoon" I looked at my father in disgust as I almost threw up. "I am not marrying Sunghoon he's my best friend and his boyfriend Sunoo is also a close friend."

My father stood up and walked passed us and opened the door "thank you for coming but this is a family matter so you can leave now" he was talking to Jake but I held his hand and pulled him behind me. "He is family now so he'll stay" my father shrugged and sat on his couch.

"Lee Y/N don't be foolish your marrying Sunghoon end of discussion" I scoffed as I sarcastically smiled at my father "you don't have control over me anymore I'm legally an adult now and I can be with whoever I want" I looked over to my mother to get some support from her but she just avoided me. She's always been under my fathers control and just watched as he would abuse me and Heeseung.

"Eomma at least play your motherly role once and defend me" she calmly looked at me putting on that fake smile she'd been wearing for years "Y/N my love I think you should listen to your father" I rolled my eyes and held Jakes hand. "I only came to tell you that we're getting married and it's final, I only really care about Heeseungs opinion as he's been the closest thing I've ever had to a parent. Soon enough I will be Sim Y/N breaking off relation to the Lees. Mr and Mrs Lee I'm cutting ties with you until you accept Jake."

I gave Heeseung a thank you look "I will see you at the wedding Oppa" he smiled and nodded as I pulled Jake out of that mess, as I was walking out of the building Jake pulled me to stand in front of him. "Y/N you should listen to your parents maybe we weren't meant to be" he flashed his puppy smile as he tried to hold back tears but I just held his hand and smiled.

"Jakey I love you and only you I don't want to marry my best friend, it's weird plus if I go through with this Sunghoon is gonna lose his love as well and I don't wanna hurt you or my friends" he smiled and stroked my hair. "Are you sure about this" I pulled him into a hug and nodded as he rested his chin on my head.

"I want my future to be with you Sim Y/N"
