Chapter 4

Ariana's POV

I widened my eyes and covered my mouth, I whispered "Oh my gosh! I couldn't believe it.". Nathan was bringing me to a park. Nathan looked at me and asked "Ariana, do you still remember here?". I nodded happily. This place is the place which really means a lot to us, we met here, ya our first meet.

Nathan looked at me and couldn't hide his smile, he showed me his hand and asked politely "Shall we?". I chuckled and answered "We shall.". We walked in the park together by hand in hand, a lot of memories refreshed on my mind. Nathan brought me to a free space and we sat down together.

He looked at the familiar place and smiled "Ariana, do you remember this place where are we sitting right now?". I nodded and replied "Obviously, this is our first meet and we were sitting here together.". He smiled as he tried to refresh everything, he said "Yes, this is where we sat together so I can see the moon clearly without any tree blocking. This place really means a lot to me.".

I nodded and said "I love to see moon too, when I was young and in bad mood, I always came here, sitting here and looked at the moon.". Nathan chuckled and agreed "Me too. Moon always made me relax, because moon is just like our mother. Without the moon, our world will be darkened. Moon will always shines and shows us the way to lead us home. Without the moon, there won't be any stars, stars are just like its children. They surround the moon every night. Without the moon, they won't shine as well.". I remained silent and tried to refresh what had happened last time during our first meet.

~Flashback~

2 years ago, I had a little argument with my mom. I always came here when I was in bad mood. That day, I drove my car and ran into the park. I always sitting here to look and talk to the moon, sometimes I made wish as well. I always made a wish that I could find someone who can fully understand me and love me. That day, when I reached there, I saw a guy was sitting there as well. He's Nathan.

I wanted to walk away but he called me. He asked me politely "I am sorry, what can I help you?". I wanted to ignore him and walked away since it's dangerous for a little girl to talk to a stranger, but I realized that he was crying. I was shocked and I asked him worriedly "What happened to you? Why are you crying?". He turned away to look at the moon, he wiped his tears and shook his head, he replied "No, nothing. I am fine.". His reaction made me even suspicious, he couldn't hide his feeling at all, I could easily read his mind, I know he's really not good at all. He ignored me and walked back to his own place and sat down.

My curiosity made me want to approach and comfort him, and I did. I sat beside him and asked him "What happened to you?". He looked away from me, he didn't want to let me see his cry. He kept wiping his tears but his tears still couldn't stop flowing from his eyes. He tried to change the subject and asked me "Why are you here?". I shrugged and exhaled a deep breathe, I answered him "Not really a big deal. Just a little argument with my mom. Just a small matter. What about you?".

He remained silent and whispered "I...I don't know. Today is the worst day of my life. I don't feel like want to talk about it.".

I smirked and convinced him to tell me "C'mon, just tell me. I promise you will feel better after telling me.". At first, he was hesitated to tell me, but finally he told me. His voice was crack and hurt, he whispered "My parents just passed away.". I widened my eyes and covered my mouth, I whispered "I am really sorry.".

He smirked and shook his head, he said "That's not your fault. That's my fault. They just passed away few days ago. Because of car accident.". My eyes was sobering and I quickly comforted him "I am sorry. You don't need to tell me if you don't want to.". He nodded and asked me again "What about you? Why are you here?". I released a deep breathe and emphasized "I always come here when I was in bad mood. I love to look at the moon and talk to the moon. Ya and also made a wish as well.". He nodded and agreed with me "Me too. I love moon. They are like our mother. Without the moon or our mother, we don't even exist. So, love your parents or you will regret once you lose them.". I stayed quiet for a few minutes but he broke the silence. He showed me his hand "Anyway, what's your name? I am Nathan.". I shook his hand and replied politely "I am Ariana. Nice to meet you.". He nodded and repeated "Nice to meet you too.". That's how going for our first meet.
