Just yesterday. Family, friends. My cousin Flare, and my friend Shawn. They died to the hands of Victoria. In her final moments with us. She had something she really wanted to say. But now... I'll never know what she wanted to pass on. I checked my MonoDex for the time. 6:40am. It would be a waste to go to sleep if I'm going to be woken up by the announcement. I might as well get myself ready for this day. Like all the other times we've had a class trial, a new floor opens up. The fourth floor. I wonder what it has in store.
I exited my room, locking the door behind me. I took a few steps to the stairway up a floor, until...
"I'm sorry Sir! I really am!" That voice. It was the robot, MonoMew. Something like this happened before. A few days ago. Just after Guila had been executed. MonoMew received a harsh scolding by this person he was talking to from a distance. Whoever it was, they must have authority over MonoMew, which could only mean one thing. This mysterious person is the mastermind behind all of this.
I took silent steps closer attempting to listen in on the conversation further.
"Utterly useless! Me!? You couldn't prepare the motive in time, and I had to do something about it. I gave you one job, and you sucked at it. Make sure that you have the next motive on time. Don't let it be something such as waving money around. Certainly don't give the participants half-assed motives that they can keep to themselves either!! Mix it up Robot!"
"Right away Sir!" MonoMew panicked. I heard a whoosh in the atmosphere. MonoMew must of teleported. I walked over to check if that was the case, and it was certain.......Wait a second. There's something on the floor. A small scrap of paper. Did MonoMew drop this?
I flipped the paper over. There was writing on it. 'Inner works of a Grand Instrument'. It read. Why would MonoMew drop such a thing? It must be important somehow.
Anyways, it might be best for me to start investigating the new floor.
After walking up a level, immediately to my right is a door different to ones that I've seen before in this building. 'Data Center' It read. I tried opening it and...
"*Rattle Rattle*"
It didn't budge. The door must be locked, and the door had a keyhole in it. It wasn't a door that could be opened with our MonoDex.
Too bad. That locked door must be locked for a reason. I went back to the starting hallway. To the left side of things. Another door awaited me. The door's sign read music room. Maybe the note I found has something to do with this.
After opening the door, I started taking notes on this room. Cameras in here like every other room. It didn't feel like other music rooms I've seen. I felt I was in a fancy room, one where a pianist would play, while rows of audience would watch and applaud. If this note is supposed to help me. Then the grand instrument must be this Piano. Is it a grand Piano?
The top of it was closed, so I opened it.
