(A/N so hey guys, I have decided to keep this book because I am thinking of some great ideas! Sorry for me being late, but inspiration struck and now I will be updating every week on Fridays, but I thought today I should update! Anyways, enjoy!)
Two months later…
Savannah's POV
I get out of bed, feeling great. My broken bones have healed thanks to Marissa’s ancient potions, and I am on my way down the road to recovery. There has been no danger in the village (as far as I know) and I have been taking it easy. But now I feel better, and it is time to train again. Unfortunately, the gym was totaled, so I have to train at home. Its not much of a problem, its just that I cant really get to see Adam as much since he lives in the outskirts of town, but he comes over once in a while to check on me and train with me. Lily has been succeeding with training, but there is another problem, we can’t find Makenna. We don’t know what happened to her, she just disappeared when we got injured. Adam sent a search team to look for her, but we haven’t found her. I know she is still alive, so that’s good. Now I just wish we can find her. I finish my dummy training and I go to my room to change. I slip on some dark green skinny jeans and a green ‘Save The Earth’ tee. I put on some green Converse and I head into town. Today is my day to volunteer, and today I go to help out at the local orphanage. I buy some candy and flowers for them and when I get there, I see their little hands through the metal gates. I smile and wave and when they see me, I can see happiness in their eyes. They seem to think of me as their big sister, which I don’t mind since I never had real siblings before. I was an only child throughout my whole life and my parents were famous artists, so they went on tours and never really spent time with me. I learned to be independent so when I come here, I feel the children’s love and I like it. As I make my way into the building, all the children come up and hug me. I laugh and hug them each individually, so they feel more special. I hear a clank on the pavement and when I look up, I see Sophie waddling here to me. Sophie has had a bad leg since she was born and has had to walk on crutches since. She has always been my favorite, and she loves me so much. One day, when I am older, I want to adopt Sophie, because she is truly something special, even though she is 5 years old. She reaches me and smiles. I smile and pick her up and give her hugs and kisses. She laughs and tilts her head back, making her brown wavy hair fall back, and her brown eyes showed pure happiness. We walked into the dining room and I set down the candy in the kitchen. I put the flowers in a vase in the middle of the dinning table and began serving soup. For dessert, I gave them candy, and then helped them get to sleep. They fussed over some things, and I surprised me how many girls stood in line for me to brush their hair. I left the orphanage at 11 pm, happiness and joy filling my heart. When I got back to the bounty, everyone greeted me and we ate dinner, courtesy of Lily, which was fantastic! After that we got ready for bed and went to sleep. The children filled my dreams as I dosed off…

At 3 am the next day, I wake up and start training early, when I hear a groan coming from the roof. I feel confused for a second, because normally no one is up at this hour. I get my Sais from the cupboard and head up to the roof. When I get there, I am shocked to what I see. Makenna. She lies unconscious, sprawled onto the ground. Her red ninja suit is torn and she has various cuts and bruises. Her hair was knotted and mangy. Her face was dirty and sweaty. I dropped my weapons and ran to her. I picked her up and carried her inside. When I set her down, I practically ran to Sensei’s rooms. I opened the door to find her sitting on the floor meditating. “Next time, please knock Savannah. What’s wrong?” she asks me when I sit down and look at her sadly. “Training…groan….roof…Makenna…hurt..” I manage to spit out while I was panting horribly. I look up to her getting up and dashing to Makenna’s room. I run after her and when I get there I see her hovering over Makenna. Her eyebrows knit in worry. “What happened?” she asks me. I shrug. She runs to the cabinet in the bathroom and gets out a bunch of medical supplies. I recognize most of them, since I was going to be a healer, I knew what they were. Gauze, tape, cut ointment, bruise healer, the works. She brings the items over and begins to heal her. It doesn’t take long until she is done. She packs the rest of the supplies up. “Well, it looks like she will be fine, but we better watch her carefully, for any signs of worsening.” She says. “Why don’t we go back to sleep? We can check on her in the morning.” With that, she leaves through the door and heads back to her room. I take one last look at Makenna, and then head back to mine. What could have happened to her?
