luara still hadn't spoken to kaila, and she'd been in brazil for a few days now.
she was happy to be home and to see her mother, but she missed her best friend. the only time she'd seen her was on her recent instagram posts, and she was debating on whether or not to message her instead of commenting.
she huffed, pulling into kaila's apartment's car park.
after making her way upstairs, she stood in front of kaila's door, not knowing if she should knock or let herself in like she usually would. she decided to just go in.
setting her bag down on the kitchen counter, she strolled through the apartment to the living room, where, of course, kaila was sat, scrolling through her phone.
"hi." luara cleared her throat, sitting beside kaila on the sofa.
"hi." was all kaila said back. not once did she look up from her phone.
luara sucked on her teeth. she was hesitant to say the words that were about to come out of her mouth, but knew it was the right thing to do, so she said them.
"i'm sorry."
kaila paused her scrolling, putting her phone down beside her and turning her head to face her best friend, "are you, though?"
"yes," luara tutted, "i'm sorry i haven't spoke to you. and i'm sorry for not telling you that i was back with–"
she glanced at kaila, who understood who she was on about.
"and i'm also sorry i missed our flight."
kaila nodded her head, "thank you."
luara hummed, leaning back onto the sofa and taking a deep breath.
"what happened?" kaila asked, folding her arms across her chest and tilting her head to lean against the back of the sofa as well.
"i've fucked it." luara cringed at herself, rolled her eyes, and smoothed out her jeans.
"what do you mean?" kaila raised a brow, "neymar?"
again, luara cringed, at both herself, and hearing his name, "yes. we had an argument and i was dancing with some parisian and got mad when he danced with her."
kaila knew what she meant by her, and nodded her head slowly, "you're so hypocritical."
"i know." luara groaned, "i haven't spoken to him. as far as i know he's back with her."
"oh meu deus, i swear she's turning into you with the way they're on and off."
luara turned her head to face kaila with an annoyed expression, unamused at her words.
kaila blinked, "but she's not you, and he knows that."
"hm, he better do." luara relaxed back into the sofa, "i miss him."
"well, don't do something to get his attention this time. if he wants you, he'll go get you."
