Zue took his last breath, and the beeping machines ceased to make any sounds. For a split second, he was weightless as if his body was being pulled up by some invisible force. He felt cold, and then an eerie silence fell around him, followed by some whispers that he couldn't comprehend.

As his awareness returned, he felt his body floating through the void. He felt the absence of gravity, where he could move his limbs freely, but he couldn't see anything. For a moment, he was in awe of the void, but soon the realization hit him that maybe he had passed, and this was his soul's journey.

As he floated through space, he heard a voice lamenting about his life. He couldn't recognize the voice, but the words resonated with him. The voice spoke about how he had been selfish in his life, taking what he could from others and never really giving back. The voice also talked about how he had taken his wife for granted and had not shown the respect she deserved.

Zue listened carefully to the voice, and as the voice continued, he found himself feeling ashamed of his past behavior. He realized that he had been wrong and that the voice was right; he had lived his life in a selfish way, and now he had to pay the price.

When the voice finished speaking, there was a brief silence, and then, he felt himself floating through the void once more. And as it was over, his awareness was drawn to a tunnel-like corridor covered in white light. It beckoned him to open his eyes, and once he did, he found himself in his 20s, in a familiar room.

Zue looked around and saw that he was in his old bedroom at his parents' house. The problems he faced in his life - businesses, health, and tensions in his marriage - all the chaos and problems disappeared as if they never existed.

As he sat up and looked around, he saw that he was exactly how he was in his prime. Young, vibrant, and hopeful. He felt like the world was his oyster, and he had his entire life ahead of him.

Zue was the youngest member of a big family of successful businessmen, and he was the young master of their family businesses. His father was a third-generation immigrant from China, and his mother was from Los Angeles, with no background.

As he got up,

Zue walked around the room, taken aback by how he had been transported back to his youth. As he looked around, he heard a voice once again. It was the same mysterious voice that he had heard in the void, but now it was clear and distinct, echoing in his ear as if the speaker was standing right next to him.

"Zue, can you hear me?" The voice was gentle but authoritative, and it reverberated around the room, sending shivers down Zue's spine.

"What's happening?" Zue asked, looking around, puzzled.

The voice spoke again, "You have been given a second chance, Zue. You have a chance to learn from your past mistakes and make things right."

Zue felt a sudden wave of understanding, "Am I dead? Is this afterlife?"

The mysterious voice replied, "This is not what you think. You have been given a chance to go back in time and make things better for yourself and the people around you. You have to use this opportunity wisely."

Zue was in shock, he couldn't comprehend what was happening, but he realized that he had to listen to the voice. Slowly, he felt a sense of direction and purpose filling him, and he spoke up, "Is there anything specific that I need to do or avoid?"

The voice replied, "You need to make things right with your family, business associates, and especially your wife. You have to try and become a better person this time around."

Zue nodded, trying to take in everything that was happening. "I understand," he said, trying to sound confident. "I'll do my best."

As soon as he finished speaking, the room started to fade away, and he felt like he was being pulled into another dimension. As he closed his eyes, he heard the same voice once again, "Remember, Zue, this is a second chance, use it wisely."

The voice was the last thing he heard before he was pulled into the unknown.

As Zue was being pulled away, the mysterious voice that had been speaking to him in his bedroom had returned to the realm of the other souls. The voice belonged to a mystical entity that judged the souls of the departed and assigned them a place in the afterlife.

As the voice returned to this realm, it resumed its duties and carried on judging the souls of those who had passed on. The voice was a mixture of sorrow and hope, and as it spoke, it carried with it the weight of countless centuries of wisdom and knowledge.

"Come forth, ye departed soul, you have been judged," the voice called out into the void.

A soul appeared before the voice, its essence a flickering light in the darkness. The voice consulted its ancient texts and probed the soul's memories, searching for the deeds it had done and judging its place in the afterlife.

As the soul passed from judgment to judgment, the voice spoke to it, sometimes with compassion, sometimes with sternness. It reminded each soul of the mistakes it had made in life and challenged them to learn from their errors, so they could do better in the next life.

The voice took its responsibility seriously, for it had been tasked with one of the most significant responsibilities in the universe. It was the keeper of the final judgment, the gatekeeper to the afterlife.

As it judged soul after soul, the voice wondered about Zue's fate. It remembered the moments when it had spoken to him, and it hoped that he would use his second chance wisely. The voice knew that Zue had the potential to do great things, but he had been blinded by his own selfishness in life.

The being also felt guilty towards him as this was his way of an apology to what he did to Zue in his previous life.

As it ruminated on these thoughts, the voice continued to judge soul after soul, its words carrying with them the weight of eternity.
