The Soldier

I never asked to be this Way,

I never wanted to be the Strongest,

I never wanted to be the fittest,

Even if they were the only ones to survive,

I never wanted to be knocked down,

To prove my own worth,

Even if it taught me to take the punches,

Even if it taught me to enjoy the pain,

"He only chooses his strongest Soldiers."

I never signed up for a war,

I never wanted to be a soldier,

I just wanted to be a kid,

I didn't want to pave the way for others,

I just wanted to be a kid...

I never asked to be a Soldier...
