____________________________________"Do we have to discuss this again?" "Well, you can't just mope around all day." "Why not? It's not hurting anyone." Toshinori sighs for the hundredth time as he tries, but fails, to convince Luna to go outside and play in the rain. Though it's one of her favorite things to do, she's still grieving over her mother's sudden leave. 'Sigh.' "Please, Lea? Healer and I miss doing things like that with you. We don't have forever, ya know?" Luna's multicolored eyes widen as realization hits her like a ton of bricks. She takes a big, deep breath before smiling softly. "You're right, Toshi. I'm sorry. I guess I miss her more than usual." "Hey, it's okay. That's normal. But can we please go play out in the rain? Suki is out there, all by herself." Toshinori pleads like a puppy begging for food from underneath the dinner table. Luna giggles as she nods, not able to resist her best friend's cuteness. "Yes! Let's go!" He cheers loudly before grabbing Luna's hand in his own, pulling her out of Healer's house and onto the street.
💚 "Finally! I thought you two would never show up." "Well, I'm here... What now?" Akasuki and Toshinori share mischievous smiles before each grabbing an arm and pulling Luna into a giant puddle. The teen gasps loudly as the cold water seeps into her clothes, soaking her to the bone. "Oh, you're both gonna get it now!" The three laugh loudly as they continue chasing each other through the pouring rain, eyes wide with pure excitement as they play like little kids. Luna needed this. To be honest, they all did. Life is too short not to do things like this. 'Cause before they know it, they'll be adults with their own kids to take care of, watching as they play in the rain like they had once done before. Life is too precious to let it slip away.
Toshinori and Luna chuckle as they practically fall over each other, pushing one another out of the rain and into Torino's house. Nana texted the group chat and told them to come to the hero's home so they could discuss something important. When Luna tried to ask more questions, Nana said it was, 'highly classified'.
"We're here!" Luna smiles widely as she slips her soaking shoes and hoodie off, leaving her in some spandex shorts and a tank top. "Whoa~ Why are you both soaking wet?" "We played in the rain!" "What are you? Five?" Torino scoffs as he uncrosses his arms, eventually disappearing in his room before coming back with a dry hoodie. He tosses it to Luna who chuckles before slipping it on over her head. She sighs in relief and makes her way to the couch, sitting right next to the hero who lets her cuddle closer. "What about me? I don't get anything to wear?" "This isn't a thrift store, kid. Wear your own clothes." "Torino!" Luna slaps his leg with a small frown, but he already knows she's just trying to hide her laugh. "Here, Toshi. Take this one." She goes to take off the one Torino gave her but is quickly stopped. The hero sighs loudly as he begrudgingly gets up to fetch Toshinori a hoodie. "Here. It's brand new, so you can have it." Toshi pouts as he pulls the hoodie on, causing Luna to snicker. Torino's hoodie is even big on Toshi, who's grown some in the past few months.
"Anyways, why are we here, Nana? What's so 'classified' you couldn't just tell us in the group chat?" Nana's soft gaze hardens as she lowers her gaze, uneasiness creeping into her mind. Luna's brows furrow as she gazes up at Torino, who also refuses to look her in the eyes. "Okay, who died? Or who's going to die?" "Wha-" "Oh, come on. Both of you are avoiding eye contact, and you're really fidgety and anxious all of a sudden. So either someone died, or someone is bound to. And I'm guessing it'll be when we fight All For One?" "You're too observant, moon child." A small hint of a smile crosses Torino's lips, causing warmth to spread across the teen's cheeks. She hums softly before sighing heavily. They all know something, anything can happen when they fight the worst villain anyone has ever seen. Something is always bound to happen in situations like these.
