____________________________________💚 "Hello, Lea." "Hi, Healer." Lea smiles softly as she pulls off her oversized hoodie, revealing fresh cuts and bruises all over her pale body. Healer, or Akasuki, holds her hand out to Luna, who takes it before slowly stepping into the somehow soothing ocean water.
💚 "What happened this time?" "You already know." 💚 "You must defend yourself, Lea. Your injuries are worse every time I see you." "I know, Healer, but I can't. I've tried...so many times." Luna's brows furrow as her bottom lip quivers. "I'm too weak; He's too strong. I'll never be able to defend myself against him." 💚 "That is not true. You are very strong, Lea—One of the strongest people I know. You just have to try harder. Please do not give up so soon." "How can I be a good hero if I can't even protect myself, Healer? I'm useless." 💚 "You're not useless. You just need more training." Lea sighs as she nods slowly.
💚 "Have you ever considered U.A.?" "Of course I have. But he won't let me go." 💚 "Why not?" "People would notice the bruises." Healer rolls her eyes as Luna sighs again. 💚 "I do not understand. Why won't he let you train with pro heroes?" Akasuki looks up to the sky, thinking of the possibilities. 💚 "Why don't you enroll yourself? You are smart and strong enough to get in without a recommendation." "I would be dead in a heartbeat." A stray tear rolls down Lea's cheek as she stares up at the sky, eyes twinkling under the moonlight. "Maybe I should just give my quirk to Toshinori." Healer's eyes widen as she watches Lea stand and leave the water. 💚 "What do you mean?! Lea!" Healer quickly joins Lea, grabbing her by the shoulders so she has no choice but to look at her. 💚 "You cannot do that! Yes, Toshinori would make an incredible hero, with or without a quirk. But you, Lea! You have an amazing quirk! And you've done so well to get a good grip over it. Do not give that up because your father is a manipulative abuser!" "H-healer! You can't say that!" Lea's eyes quickly dart around, checking if anyone is close enough to hear their conversation. 💚 "Why not?! It is the truth!" Akasuki sighs as she gently shakes Lea's shoulders.
💚 "Why do you still try to please him?" "I- I don't know why. I guess at first, he wasn't like this. He was kind, loving, and caring. He was an amazing father and husband to my mother." Lea sighs and tilts her head, watching the water ripple as waves gently crash against the shoreline. "I guess I just want his approval. I want to make him and my mom proud... But I'll never be good enough. I'm just some stupid hybrid kid that can't even get ahold of her emotions." 💚 "Lea..." Healer gently wraps her arms around Lea, who sighs again and lays her head on her friend's shoulder. "I'm self-destructive and hopeless." 💚 'Sigh.' "You and I both know that's not true. Yes, you struggle to contain your emotions, but you are still incredible. And everyone needs work, Lea. Don't hate yourself because you need help." "I'm sorry, I just-... I just don't know what to do anymore. Who would I even ask for help?" 💚 "Maybe Toshinori knows someone..? I'm sure he could help you." 'Sigh.' "I'm still considering giving him my quirks." Healer stares blankly at Lea before smacking her on the back of the head. "Hey!" 💚 "You better not do it, Luna Eclipsis Aeliana. I'll never forgive you for giving up so easily." "...Okay, geez." Lea huffs as she rubs the spot her friend smacked.
💚 "Okay. I'm glad we're on the same page. Now, do that one thing with your quirks. It's so mesmerizing to look at; Especially at night." 'Sigh.' "Fine." Luna holds her hands up high, watching as the starry night sky becomes...surreal. Moon dust, stars, and a multicolored Aurora follow Lea's fingertips as she swirls her hands in mesmerizing patterns. Healer gasps and awes at the beautiful creations unraveling before her. Healer's favorite part, though, is when Lea dances as well. Her body slowly twirls around the twinkling stars as more primary and secondary colors coat her entire being.
