Simran awoke to an empty bed, a sense of relief washing over her. The absence of the "monster," as she fondly referred to her husband, brought her comfort. She cocooned herself in the sheets, enjoying the solitude and the warmth of the bed. Her eyes, heavy with sleep, reflected the peacefulness she felt in that moment.

She wanted everything that happened yesterday to be a dream. She wanted it to be a bad nightmare and wanted to hear the chaos that usually prevailed in her maternal house but the thin chain that rested against her chest was a stark reminder of reality. The reality which was that she was married to a person she doesn't even knows for a week.

However, a sudden chuckle disrupted her tranquility, and she snapped her head toward the door. There, in all his devilish glory, stood Aryan, her husband. Amusement danced in his eyes as he observed her disheveled state. Cute, adorable, and undoubtedly flustered, Simran's heart quickened as she attempted to free herself from the entangling sheets, albeit unsuccessfully.

''Had a good sleep amore?'' He asked in his deep voice walking to the bed. Her heart quickened the pace as she tried to wriggle out of the blanket. But it was of no use. She was completely entangled in those sheets.

Aryan's hearty chuckle filled the room as he gracefully took a seat on the bed. His eyes continued to sparkle with amusement as he surveyed his "little wife." His hand skilfully navigated through the layers of sheets, gradually peeling them away.

Simran followed his movements. Her heart beating fast out of fear and nervousness. This was the first time she saw him without his unhinged smirk and he looked normal. She didn't know. He looked less scary. His eye appeared to be brighter. Aryan looked at her and immediately simran moved away her gaze.

He chuckled and lifted his hand to her chin. Simran flinched back but aryan didn't care. He grabbed her chin and turned her to face towards him. "Won't you ask me where I was yesterday night amore?" he said. His voice intged with slight mockery and his eyes narrowed on her. Simran removed her chin from his grasp and moved a little back.

"Why would I care where you went? As long as you weren't here to disturb my sleep I am okay." Her voice was sharp and she tried hard to make her voice steady. Aryan looked at her and chuckled. She was cute. He moved back and stood near the bed.

"I have IED... I thought not to tell you, but you need this information. I can't control my anger, and I left so that I don't end up scaring you on the first night."

Simran tilted her head looking at him. Now the fear of him increased a bit more. Who knows what he might do in anger. He went away yesterday what if he doesn't the next time and dump his anger on her? She didn't want to ponder on this thought anymore. "I want my phone back." She voiced out her demand. It has been a day and she wanted to call her parents.
