Ranpo awakens with the sun shinning in his face. As Ranpo gets up, getting ready for work he has only one thing on his mind, Poe. Ranpo has no idea why he has been thinking about Poe so much recently. "never mind that I need to head to work" Ranpo sighs.
As Ranpo steps into the office he is greeted by everyone's cheeriness and praise. While Ranpo heads to his desk he is approached by kunikida giving him the run down of his next assignment. Ranpo lets out an annoyed sighed as he just sat down and has to leave again.
Ranpo arrives at the job and is given the details by chief Minoura. Ranpo approaches the crime scene, looks at for a couple of seconds and gives the chief the answer he's been looking for. As he chief is stunned as all ways Ranpo is already heading back to the agency, before Minoura can even thank him.
(Ranpo makes it back to the agency around 20 minutes later) Ranpo steps into the agency doors and goes right back up to his desk. Everyone can tell Ranpo seems even more bored than usual but not stuffing his face with food this time. Yosano goes up to Ranpo and asks him what's wrong also asking if he needs a check up. Ranpo swiftly declines the check up offer and just tells her he's got a lot on his mind.
Ranpo stays quiet the rest of the day which is concerning to the rest of the ADA members. multipule the of the staff tell Ranpo he can home but he declines all of their offers. As Ranpo is sitting at his desk he can only think of Poe. Ranpo decided around 3:00 a'clock he'd head back to his apartment. upon arriving to his house he thought why he might be thinking of Poe so much when he came to the conclusion that he needed to ask him something important but just didn't know what it was yet. As he makes is way into his apartment he decided now would be a good time to call Poe and ask if they could meet up.
(RANPOS POV)
As I rang Poe's phone I got nervous but didn't know why. Poe did eventually pick up after several attempts, though I guess he was sleeping his sleep schedule does seemed pretty wrecked to be completely honest. I asked Poe if we could meet up at the park which to my surprise he answered rather quickly. "sure I could make it" is what Poe told me.
(REGULAR POV)
As Ranpo headed to the park where they had to agreed to meet up Ranpo got more and more nervous. Poe who was on his way to the park as well was also getting a little choked up but just chalked it up to him just not being good with other people. They both ended up making it to the park around the same time and meeting around a park bench, in response to the awkward silence Ranpo suggested they head over to a candy store right across the street from the park. As they stepped foot inside the shop Ranpo's face lit up with awe as he toured the massive store. When Poe saw Ranpo's face he blushed a little but immediately stopped reminding himself they are friends or even rivals. Poe told Ranpo he could pick out as many snacks as he wanted and that he'd pay for him. Ranpo's face lit up again and ran to hug Poe. Ranpo took Poe's hand and led him around the store picking up snacks along the way. Ranpo after awhile said he was done and could check out now. when they got out of the store a big breeze came at them blowing Poe's bangs out of his face causing Ranpo to stare at him for an exceedingly long time until Poe grew flustered and quickly fixed his bangs. When Ranpo realized how pretty Poe's eyes are and how long he had been staring at him he began to feel nervous again. Poe walked Ranpo home in silence and waved him goodbye.
Ranpo woke up in a better mood than the day before excitingly hoping to see Poe again and his beautiful eyes. Ranpo quickly got to work hopping it'd be a short shift. as Ranpo approached the agency he decided to stop at the café before heading to his office. when he walked he took a seat in the middle booths awaiting someone to take his order. when the waitress did eventually take his order he decided to get an extra sugary hot chocolate. the waitress quickly wrote down his order even though he's the only one there. His order was brought out swiftly. he quietly drank his hot chocolate until the silence was disturbed by Dazai and Kunikida walking into the café bickering, they took a seat at Ranpo's table even though they weren't invited to sit with him. Ranpo called out their rude behavior, Kunikida apologized while Dazai made up a lame exuse saying "you looked lonely so I just thought you needed a friend to sit with." Dazai was soon met with Kunikida's fist to his head then he apologized correctly. Ranpo just told them it was fine since they where already there. Ranpo finished quickly trying to get away from Dazai's antics. Ranpo headed up stairs to his office for awhile realizing there would be no assignment for him today.
Ranpo left within the hour so he could meet up with Poe again.
