The rain pounds against the glass, thunder rolls in, a crack of lighting lights up the pitch black room, sitting in the corner she's curled into a ball, a picture frame broken on the side of her. She looks in her hand and as another crack of lightning hits she sees the blade glisten, staring at it as a tear runs down her face it falls onto the blade. She screams and cries but no one hears, another crack of thunder comes directly after, "no one cares, no one will notice" She thought as she drags the blade across to feel a sting, another tear falls but into the cut this time, she decides it's not enough so she adds another, then another, soon there's ten and she stares down realizing what she has done and just starts sobbing. She broke her promise, she starts screaming and looks into the mirror to her dismay she sees the bags under her eyes, her cheeks hollowed, the red sunken eyes. She feels worthless and feels no one will notice so she runs the water for the bath and plugs the drain. One final crack of thunder hits before she's under, her eyes close before the final strike of lightning lights the room. It's too late to say goodbye, it's too late to apologize.
