Leng Shang walked through the door and closed it. He slumped down and his breathing hitched. Leng shang's eyes reddened and a bitter sweet smile was than curved in his lips his breathing was becoming more uneven
He brought his knees closer and covered his eyes closing his eyes tightly. Quite sobs left his lips and tears streamed down his face as memories came and flashed by his mind and his state was now in a complete mess

"Why'd you even hit your own son for a mistress's child!?! Are you out of your mind!?" A woman outside the door yelled at the man Infront of her and a young boy was in the other side sobbing and covering his ears
"What do you mean out of my mind! That stupid boy couldn't even do something so simple so why wouldn't I?" The man said back and slapped the woman Infront of him

It has been the next day and Leng Shang was now in a hospital room with a lady in the patient bed and there were thin tubed connected to her. The old lady's eyes were closed and there was a mask thing over her mouth and nose that gives her enough air, The heart monitor was beeping in a normal rythm.
Leng Shang took a breath and hold her hand the was on the side of the bed.
"How are you here mom...?" A bitter smile rosed on his lips and he kissed her forehead and sat back down. After a while Leng Shang had to leave when the system suddenly popped up out of nowhere.
"Host."
Leng Shang turned to the system and had a blank look on his face instead of the earlier emotion. The system was sopposed to be an intelligence like creation to help the host in his journey but even tho at those past few months he had been here he had somewhat learned how to have human emotions and read the host emotions even if the host is good at hiding it and at this time he can sense that Leng Shang was crying earlier. Leng Shang turned away from the system and turned to the woman lying in the bed
He took a deep breath and composed himself
"Is there any way for someone who had an accident and been in coma to fully wake up?"
The system was than confused more but realized that the woman in the bed must be someone important to his host when it saw her. And so the system decided to answer truthfully by saying that they need to know her stats so the system data can proceed with something that can help and Leng Shang agreed as long as he's mother can still be healed
"Host there is something that may able to help her but your spiritual abilities are still not fit in the requirements for the mission."
"What is the mission?" Leng Shang asked nonchalantly and sigh. A glimpse of hope and light could be seen in his eyes and he had now a small smile that was barely noticable
After that day onwards Leng Shang has been alot more busier than last times and he had been full with things on his shoulders. Leng Shang has also been focused on building a stable foundation for his abilities and him plus the others had been hanging out few times, it was now time that the construction for the base to be over and the start of the disasters are over in a few months
A/N: I did not calculate how many months it's actually been in Leng shang's world so pardon me if this is wrong. Even if so just pretend that I made a time skip again🤡 I really want this chapter to have layed out random clues and I'm doing a bad job at this 🥲
Leng Shang has also thought them how to level up their mental strength and how to cultivate at least the starters of the abilities they would have but for now they still isn't able to control they're sopposedly abilities cause the apocalypse haven't started yet so they can only so much at times but for that reason Leng Shang had also tought them how to use weapons and physical training weekly
A/N: And yup I'm officially out of ideas for this chapter but still managed to lay at least some clues in this one....
