*Sorry this chapter has been delayed, I started school again and it's the last term so I've been kinda busy. Anyway here is the chapter I know its trash but I hope it's good trash*
The sunlight seemed to be made out of honey as it poured in through the window.
I was sat in the middle of the bed, Link still asleep behind me. My notebook was open on the bed as I stared at the ancient alphabet that was on the right page. I was trying to translate an ancient book I had found in the library to see if it could help with the whole calamity situation.
I was growing fearful with every passing day about the calamity.
More cases had been reported, more people and animals dead. It was spreading, fast; and coming closer and closer.
I had tried to ignore it, force it out of my mind. But I couldn't. I kept thinking about what hyrule would look like if the calamity really did happen. My home, shrouded in darkness, a blanket of deep, lifeless purple.
I felt helpless.
Aside all that, I had discovered something positively interesting; I recognised the writing from somewhere. Best part was, I think I remember where it was; Around the gerudo wasteland. If I could travel there, figure out what is was...Maybe it would help the current situation?
I was halfway down a page when I heard Link stirring behind me.
"Wow, you're busy," He said after a few seconds. I looked behind me at him as he tried to look at the notebook whilst re-tying his hair, his sleepy eyes just waking up.
"It's to help with the calamity." I replied. I felt Link's arms slide underneah my shoulders and his hands grab onto them, as if they were the arms of a backpack. His head rested on my shoulders, his legs either side of mine. "I'm trying to translate all the old text into new text."
"Oh. Looks interesting."
I picked up the old alphabet notebook so that he could see. "See?"
"Yeah." He responded, looking at me. I looked back and smiled, kissing him softly.
"You're cute in the mornings, you know that? Your eyes are all sleepy."
"No, I didn't know that." He chuckled, his eyebrows furrowed along with his smile. He turned back to the notebook. "So, can I try writing in this?"
"Yeah, if you want." I handed him the pen as he rested the notebook on his knee and began writing something rude, mouthing it as he wrote. "Oh, okay big boy, give that back." I said as he began to laugh before giving me back the notebook. "Childish as anything, you," I giggled.
I began to lean a little too far to the left as Link pulled me back, saying, "Woah there, you're gonna tip over." I felt Link plant a kiss on my neck as he kept his face there, closing his eyes. "I feel like this moment is running away. I don't like it."
"It's not going anywhere, so long as we keep it that way."
Link breathed in suddenly, releasing me from his arms. "Shit. Oh, shit, what time is it?"
"Uhm, I'm not sure;" I looked up at the sundial near my window. "Around 8:30?"
"Oh, shit!" He scrambled up and threw his tunic over his head in a messy fashion, hopping up and down as he tried to force his right boot onto his foot.
"Calm down!" I put my notebook down and tried to approach him. "What's the rush?"
"I'm gonna be late for training, I have to go now."
"Wait- you still do training?" My voice climbed in pitch as my eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"Only today, remember?" Link paused as he raised his eyebrows at me, trying to rejig my memory. "I have a two-hour long session, whilst you're in the throne room-"
