Mavis sat in the blue chair next to Tara's bed, playing with Tara's fingers while thinking about what's happened in the past twenty-four hours. Why would Ghostface decide to come back after so long? And why attack Tara?

She was knocked out of her thoughts as she heard a knock at the door. She turned looking at Tara who just nodded towards her silently telling her it's ok. Mavis walked to the door opening it sighing in relief seeing that it was their friends. "Mavis? Shouldn't you be resting?" Chad asked surprised seeing the tall girl. "We all know I can't sit still for the life of me." She opened the door letting them in, sitting back in her seat. "Glad to see you two didn't die on us." Mindy joked sitting in the seat across to Mavis, as the older girl playfully rolled her eyes.

The group fell into their usual conversation, listening to Chad tell talking about something that happened at football practice. Mindy tuned her twin out, her eyes glancing towards Amber who looked at a injured and sleep deprived Mavis with nothing but hatred in her eyes. The Meeks-Martin girl rolled her eyes as she let out a sigh, leaning back in her seat as her eyes drifted towards Tara who staring at Mavis without uttering a single word.

The brunette's tired eyes were laced with something that she saw often when the two looked at each other. She glanced to her raven headed best friend across from her. Now Mindy could admit that her best friend was quite attractive, that much she knew.

A small yet smug grin grew on her face. Tara Carpenter had her eyes set on her best friend. Mindy crossed her arms throwing Wes a slightly pitiful look. The Hick's boy stood no chance against the Henderson girl. Mavis Henderson had Tara's heart wrapped around her rough fingers and she didn't even know it.

Everyone stopped what they were doing, the room falling silent as the door opened revealing a old yet familiar face. Sam took a deep breath as she saw the state of her younger sister. "How are you feeling?" She questioned kneeling, hesitantly placing a hand over her sisters pale skin.

Mavis scooted her chair back a little too fast, her eyes slamming shut at the burning pain shooting from her stitches. Tara let out a shaky breath, glancing down at the ravenette's bouncing leg as she clutched her wound. She acknowledged her sister's presence with a soft smile before turning back to her concerned state to the girl that had her heart. "You came." She let out barely above a whisper.

Sam looked at her sister's lifeless eyes, glancing between the worry and pain flashing behind her brown pupils. "Of course I came." She muttered, slowly looking back at the man she came with. "This is my boyfriend Richie." Tara tore her eyes from Mavis.

Richie took a few steps forward bending down towards the injured Carpenter. "It's so nice to meet you. I'm so sorry if I'm intruding." He whispered with a small smile. Tara slowly wove her hand, nodding silently. "Nice to meet you too." She murmured before turning her attention and uninjured hand towards the anxious ravenette.

Mavis's eyes glanced towards Tara's unsteady hands. The brunette sent her a weak smile, humming silently. Mavis scooted her chair forward, closer to Tara, taking the girls uninjured one in her own rough, scarred one.
