The remaining teenagers decided to go to a local bar, playing a semi-serious game of pool and drinking. Liv furrowed her eyebrows curiously. "So what is she like, the sister?" She questioned looking between her boyfriend and the ongoing game. Chad glanced over at his girlfriend, a smile overtaking his features. "Sam? Sam is so cool." He grinned earning a small, playful scoff fro his twin.
"You only say that because she let you wear Pokemon onesies to bed for a year." She mouthed sarcastically. Chad humming in agreeance, pointing a finger to his twin. "That's true. That's a true statement." The group broke out into small laughter all but Amber who wore a bitter expression. The raven haired girl huffed quietly, shaking her head. "No, trust me. Sam is not cool. Her dad left her mom, right? Walks right out when Tara's eight, Sam's thirteen." She poured the drink from the flask as she continued.
"Sam started acting out, getting in trouble. And then, on Sam's eighteenth birthday, she leaves. Ghost's them all." She spat in anger. She hummed, shrugging her shoulders. "Maybe she's changed. I just don't want to see Tara hurt again." Looking over at the Hick's boy.
Wes let out a heavy sigh as he slightly leaned forward. "So what, you're protecting Tara from her own sister and friends now?" He glared. Amber cocked her head at him mockingly, a small ghost of a grin evident. "Well, someone has to protect her from the dangers that is Sam and Mavis."
Wes subtly rolled his eyes, rocking on the heels of his feet as he fidgeted with the pool stick. "Okay, so no guys are good enough for her, and now you're protecting her from the people she's close to?" He flashed a false grin at the eye rolling girl.
Mindy grew a knowing smirk on her face, her eyes flashing between the two. "Mmm." She hummed. "Motive. If I can't have her, no one can." Wes glanced around the table in disbelief. "What? No." The girl just smiled smugly at the boy. "We all know you have a crush on Tara." Wes felt his heartbeat pick up as he slightly gripped the pool stick. "Okay, come on, Mindy." He huffed, all Mindy did was throw her hands up in defense. "I'm just stating facts here. Plus I don't think Tara is really into your kind." She shrugged hitting one of the balls into the pocket.
The boy furrowed his eyebrows, his lips forming into a small frown. "Okay, Mindy. What's that supposed to mean?" He questioned. She glanced around the group looking at their confused expressions, releasing a heavy sigh. "Oh come on." She groaned. "I know I'm not the only one whose noticed the 'little' crush Tara and Mavis have on each other."
Chad opened his mouth to speak but quickly closed it. His sister did have a point, brunette did seem drawn to her. Mavis being no different with the love struck look she'd give her when she thought no one was looking. Mindy rolled her eyes, propping her chin on the top of the pool stick. "I mean, they basically eye fuck each other whenever the other walks in a room."
Liv nodded her head lowly in agreement. "She's right. Mindy is on to something guys." She hummed, hearing a small 'thank you' in response. Wes sighed with a head shake. "Guys come on." He murmured putting his pool stick against the wall. "They're friends. Best friends, right?" If that's what he wanted to believe.
