Ch.1 Harmony

3rd person pov

Harmony is eleven years old. Harmony doesn't live in our time she lives in 5,000 BC. This means she will be a woman next year. She's tall, slim, and has long, shiny hair. She has become immortal. She can only die from murder. There are two ways to become immortal. Hair or skin. When she was a baby her mother made her immortal. If Harmony cuts her hair or doesn't take care of it, she loses her immortality. She always wears a buhemian style white dress, and like everyone, barefoot. All the boys in the community had their eyes on Harmony. The Olive dance was soon to find out who would be their fiance' for a year. When they turned 12 They would be married. All the boys asked her. She decided she would choose Naazam. He was quiet, musical, and a gentleman. She thought he balanced her out.

One day, Harmony's mother made a loaf of bread.

"Go and take this to your grandmother, Eve," She told Harmony.

Harmony enjoyed the walk there.

The path winded and it had flowers and bugs. She also passed a few pretty homesteads.

She walked into the homestead.

"Hello, Grandmother," Harmony said.

Harmony passed Eve the loaf of bread.

"Thank you, dear," Said Eve as she set the bread aside, "The Olive Dance is tomorrow. Honey, you're an element."

"What?" Asked Harmony.

"It's very rare. You are wind. There is only one of you. Wind is spontaneous, but so is fire. No one knows where all of them are. If he or she is here, don't get involved with them."

"How do you know I'm an element?"

"I'm old and wise. When I was a girl,there was a prophecy saying you would be here and in my family line."

"How do I know if a person is fire?"

"You'll know. You'll also need to cut your hair after the dance. That's when your mission begins."

"But what about my immortality?"

"It's not true. When they make you 'immortal' they infect your hair with evil spirits. You can't fulfil the mission with evil spirits."

"What's the mission?"

"You'll find out soon."
