Ch.18 Time to Prepare

Megan's POV

We wake up in the morning only to find a tablet on our counter. We soon discover there's a video on the tablet.

"Hey look, a video!" Said Fred.

I tapped the play button and audio started playing.

"It's time to prepare for your final mission. The Great War. Come to the training facility at twelve pm. The time is near."

Fred bursted out crying.

"I can't do this," he said between sobs," I'm going to die!"

Something changed in me, seeing him so vulnerable. I had a crush on him.

"No, that can't be right," I said to myself.

But it was right and we fell in love with each other. But that comes later.

"Shut up, Fred! Don't act like a freakin' baby. You probably aren't going to die," I said.

We made it to the training facility at twelve and we saw all of the other groups. A video started playing.

"Welcome back, Elementals! Go to the room on my left to get training gear. Each is special to the person, so look for your name."

We made our way to the room.

Ivy had a black body suit that turned into a raven so she could fly away. Fawn had an orange dress and a whistle that brought animals to her. Rose had a glowing yellow dress that provided light and allowed her to float. Fred had a wetsuit that once it hit the water, it turned him into a merman. Harmony had a white bohemian dress that allowed her to fly. Emma had a denim dress and a megaphone. Lucille had a red sparkling gown. Paulena had a suit made of plant so she could easily camouflage. And mine was a black suit that could burst into flames.

"We should try them on," said Emma.

Everyone agreed and put on their outfits. Everyone was satisfied.

When we walked back out, there was a table full of food.

Emma raised her cup and said," To our mission and our safety."

Everyone cheered.
