Part 54 (Bonus) : Attack On Shion

These events happened during The Shion attack.

BANG.

CAYDE-6 shot as he stood his ground as the Branwen tribe descended upon them. His hand rested on his trusty hand cannon, a replica of Ace of Spades, ready to defend Shion and himself from the impending attack. The tribe members were no match for the skilled Hunter and his advanced weaponry, but their numbers were overwhelming.

Cayde: Your not... Going to take this Village...

?????: Oh but we will... Why do you have to make this so hard?

Cayde: Your not welcome here.

?????: Vernal, just get him.

Vernal: How about the others have a turn, eh?

He was extremely fatigued but Cayde-6's eyes darted around, taking in the chaos around him. Shion was cowering behind him, whimpering in fear. He knew he had to protect them at all costs, even if it meant putting his own life on the line.

As the first wave of attackers lunged towards them, Cayde-6 fired a shot at the nearest assailant. The bullet hit its mark, but it only served to incite the others. They charged forward, brandishing their weapons and shouting battle cries.

Cayde-6 fought with all his might, dodging and weaving through the attackers. He landed blows with his fists and shots with his cannon, taking out several of the group. But he was outnumbered, and soon, one of them managed to land a critical hit on his back, causing him to stumble.

The Hunter gritted his teeth in pain but refused to go down. He continued to fight, but the injury had slowed him down. Vernal seized the opportunity, landing a vicious blow to his head that sent him sprawling to the ground. Scraps of metal came off of his face.

Shion screamed in terror as the Branwen tribe members surrounded Cayde-6, their weapons raised to strike.

Cayde: Vernal... [Cough] What a shit name. I'd fight my parents if they gave me a name like that... Looks like you fought your barber tho-

She snarled and kicked him in the face making him wince in pain.

She got his weapon that fell on the ground and picked it up.

Vernal: Dropped something? [Points Ace of spades at Cayde]

Suddenly a flash when in Caydes memory when a much younger Y/n was holding a gun at him.

Young Y/n: I got you now!

He smiled but winced at the kick he had just received. He groaned in pain.

Cayde: [Tearing up] Y/n...

By this time the residents at Shion realised that their hunter was broken down and out. They were helpless. They started to flee with their items. This would quickly bring the grimm and everyone knew it.

?????: Quickly! Loot everything the grimm will come soon.

"The Grimm..."

Cayde had a flashback on when he was teaching Y/n how to snipe a grimm from far away.

Young Y/n: Like this? [Finger on trigger]

Past Cayde: Yep. Now pull the trigger.

BANG!

Cayde: AHHHH!

He looked to see his shoulder have a bullet hole in it. Breathing heavily he saw Vernal shaking the gun while pointing it in the air while having a smug look on her face.

Vernal: I was talking to you.

Cayde was wincing in pain. He was so weak and helpless.

Cayde: I'm... Y/n, I'm sorry... I couldn't bring you home... I'll be with you soon...

BANG!

Another bullet pierced his left hand which made him shriek again. Vernal smirked evily and looked down upon the fallen Huntsman and frowned.

?????: Take him back to camp.

Vernal was Confused and angry. She turned back at her leader.

Vernal: Why?!

?????: Because I said so. He could be useful.

Cayde: Just do it... [Relaxes body]

His voice was becoming hazy and distorted. He had no strength left both spiritually and physically. He had become content with whatever happened next he know he couldn't change anything and there was no point of trying.

Vernal: [Drags him by shoulder] Me and you are going to have some fun back at my tribe.

He was being taken away by Vernal through a red portal. He didn't know what was happening and he didn't care. All he could hear was voices and the sounds of his ripped combat gear grinding against the ground. He swore he could hear some grimm. But it was all over now.

Honestly reading some books made me realise how terrible my writing truly is especially in terms of detail. I don't think it will ever be as good as others but I'm hoping I make up for it in terms of humor/jokes or things like the AI Pictures. Anyway I'm trying to get better and this chapter actually had some help to create it.
