I grimaced in pain while Luna worked on my foot. Physical therapy absolutely sucked. Two weeks had passed, and Doc had determined that it was alright for me to begin pt for my foot and voice. I could speak now, which was wonderful, although I was not entirely sure that the Canids were.

"Five more and then we are done," Luna said. I groaned in response.

"Alright, all done. Now let me put this cream on it and we will ice it for a short while."

I sat up and waited patiently. The cream and ice eased some of the discomfort on my foot and I sighed quietly in relief. The last two weeks had been interesting to say the least. We had not done any "training" that I noticed, not that I would have been interested in participating anyway. I had tried escaping one time already when an outside door was accidentally left open when Red and Bruno were carrying something heavy into the house. I played it off when I was caught that I just missed being outside, which I did. The cold winter air invigorated me.

Ben walked in and said, "How did the pt go?"

"Great!" exclaimed Luna.

"Fine," I said in a less than enthusiastic tone.

Ben, ignoring me, walked over to me and patted me on the shoulder, "You will be bouncing around in no time."

"Sure, I will," I responded with an eye roll.

"I have some good news to share with you. My brother is arriving from Zion tomorrow and he is bringing his human, Hank, with him. They will be staying with us for awhile while Sam, that's my brother, does some work."

Many thoughts went through my head, the main one being escape. Perhaps Hank would be of similar mind.

"That is exciting," said Luna while she removed the ice and gently wrapped my foot. It did feel much better and I didn't have to wear the stupid boot anymore.

A couple of hours later I was in the living room reading a book while under the watchful eye of Bruno. I was bored, but there wasn't much I could do to fix that at the moment. As I was contemplating throwing the book in the fire to see what Bruno would do their was a knock on the door. I heard Ben answer it and a deep booming voice said, "Brother!" and I heard laughing.

Bruno motioned me to follow him and I complied. We went into the entryway and this huge, barrel chested gray wolf was hugging Ben, who was slightly shorter. Sam's fur was slightly darker than Ben and was missing half of his right ear, which had a gold hoop hanging from it. He had a wild adventurous look about him.

"It's good to see you Sam! How was the trip?" asked Ben.

"It was fantastic and Hank here handled it like a champ!" replied Sam in his deep voice as he motioned to a human man that was standing behind him. Hank had short cropped brown hair, green eyes, and a hint of freckles on his face. He was not tall, but not short either. Over his clothes he wore an x shaped blue harness attached to a leash that Sam was holding. I hoped to God that I would not have to wear a harness like a dog.

"This must be your girl Tabatha! Look at you my dear, so pretty!" he boomed as he patted my head. "Whoa there girl! If looks could kill. You weren't lying, she is a handful."

"Sure is," replied Ben with a smile, "Come on in. Let's get you and Hank here settled."

Bruno tapped my shoulder and motioned me to follow him, which I did. Hank obediently followed Sam and Ben as they went upstairs to one of the guest bedrooms.

Bruno led me into one of the downstairs rooms, which I had only been in once before. It had an open barred door behind a sliding barn style type door. Inside was a mounted tv, a gray plush couch a matching easy chair, and different activities. A small, attached bathroom with a toilet and sink was visible as well. I had dubbed it the 'playroom' because it was smaller than Luna and Sky's office, but had way more things to do.
