All throughout class Harry and Draco's eyes never left each other, sneering in silent fury. Every once in a while Draco would quirk his eyes in an attempt to show his dominance. Neither of them heard a word all lesson, their own thoughts screaming too loud.

"Oi, Harry pay attention!" Hermione snapped her fingers in-between his deadly eyes.

He shooed her away flapping his hand at her, and she did not take that kindly. She whacked his arm and jabbed his empty book with her slender finger.

"Sorry 'mione, he just makes me so, so angry!" Blinking, he broke the gaze and turned to his book.

Angry! Fucking angry! Finally! I'm not feeling absolutely nothing, I hate Malfoy with a passion... yes! Although it may seem weird to be enthusiastic at feeling rage, you must remember he'd felt endless nothingness for over a year now, it was a change not necessarily a good or a big change but a change nonetheless.

A weak rush fuelled the boy as different mixtures of sudden emotion flooded his brain, he began to feel dizzy, when Malfoy let out a roaring cough bringing him back to reality.

The rush quickly dissolved and he snapped his head up to the boy to find him scowling daggers at him, then the long, white quill in his hand broke in two.

Out of all the hope and excitement of feeling anything Harry forgot about the competition with Draco but soon remembered and glowered back.

Even though Draco knew he would waste full hour grimacing at Potter he didn't care one bit, and anyway be would steal Blaise's notes later. He just prayed he wouldn't get a wrinkle.

"Draco calm down, you look like your plotting murder." His best friend advised wishing for Draco to not embarrass her any further.

"Who says I'm not." He grunted through gritted teeth.

"Dear Draco, quit eye fucking the poor boy, it's making me nauseous." Millicent snickered, receiving a murderous glare from Athena; who happened to be sitting behind them.

Without looking away from the boy Draco punched the Slytherin in the arm. "Prissy little bitch." She murmured squinting angrily at him.

Just then Hermione uttered something snapping her fingers at Potter.

Granger quit your incessant badgering we're busy!

But he grew pleased when he tried to shove her away, then she planted a loud slap on his arm; which was undoubtedly funny to watch; that tore his attention away. This made Draco fuming, he actually wouldn't of been shocked if steam came out of his ears!

Soon they where all excused, as lesson ended, apart from the vicious boys; who had been fighting. "Now Malfoy, Potter I'm ever so disappointed in you both. I know it must be hard to come back to school and reality but please put your differences aside, I'm sure you don't need the extra stress," he paused then muttered, "and I certainly don't either. I suppose I'll let you off with a warning, but just this once."

The boys just stood there snidely waiting to be excused so they could carry on arguing. The unfortunate teacher rubbed his eyes and shooed them off but not before saying, "Go to the infirmary and get your faces fixed up."

They left the classroom in silence, deep tension surrounding them. Hermione, Ron and Pansy were waiting outside for them.

"Hey Harry!" Hermione perked up galloping towards him.

"Hi." Harry huffed out feeling tired. "I've got to go to the infirmary, you guys get to class I'll meet you there as soon as I'm done." He sighed caressing his neck to show his bashfulness. He desperately tried to put off the conversation with his two friends for as long as he could.
