sereyah was going to a fucking house party. you would think with all the murdering that happened, the group wouldn't step foot in a house party but you have to live somehow.

her and tara were getting ready in tara's room. after the events of last year they all decided to go to college together in new york to one, get as far away from woodboro they could, and two, when you've been hunted by your close friend together there's not alot of other people you'll want to be friends with.

it was a long year but everybody grew to heal, ignore, or at least not bring it up too much. that's a large pill to swallow in therapy already. which sereyah was in, which sereyah was in not only for that because she's a major screw up and hopefully she can find a very large bandaid for that.

they were doing their makeup and tara looked over at sereyah, "your not wearing the costume?"

sereyah paused on her gold eyeliner and looked in the mirror at the folded clothes and the hat, "no, i don't want it to be weird."

tara scoffed, "it's already going to be weird. maybe you should kept the receipt or not but your costume a month early."

"we're not all going together, i don't have to see him at the party." sereyah said and continued, "it hasn't been weird so far when we meet here."

tara put her mouth in a straight line and the silence caused sereyah to look back at her, "it's been weird has it?"

tara nodded and sereyah groaned, "the group agreed not to say that and make it even more weird."

"too late, it is now." sereyah sighed and paused on her eyeliner, "i don't want it to be weird."

tara stopped for second, "if you miss him so much, why did you break up with him?"

sereyah thought about telling her but stopped. chad and sereyah broke up a bit ago, or she broke up with him, and everybody felt a shift in the friend group after. the thing is nobody even thought they were fighting, not clicking, or whatever the case may be. they were honestly a cute couple who never really argued. they had disagreements about things but when they did they were respective and it really wasn't enough to completely end the relationship.

sereyah sighed and continued doing her eyeliner, "people just grow apart."

tara realizing she wasn't going to get her to talk nodded and continued doing her makeup.

sereyah spoke changing the tests subject, "does sam even know you're going to this party?"

tara rolled her eyes, "hell no. she's been trying to convince me not to go but i want to go so why not?"

sereyah eyed her, "i can see her dragging you out that party."

tara chuckled, "shut the fuck up. she's going to get you too because i know you guys talk about me."

sereyah looked at her, "i talk about you to her because we both care, but i'm not stopping you from going to a halloween party, it's just a party."

jenna threw her hands up, "right? i just want to dance and drink."

they laughed together. sereyah and tara has always been in the same friend group but this past year they grew so much closer than ever. both being stabbed grows people together, but sereyah and tara feel like sisters now. tara loves her sister, sam, but she can be coddling and pushy too much sometimes. she knows sam loves her but sereyah is concerned but doesn't push tara to do anything. she's here to talk to her, she's here when tara wants complete silence. which is why she's also concerned for sereyah, last she checked her and chad were completely fine and the breakup came out of nowhere.

the things sereyah loves about tara is the same things that
tara loves sereyah for. sereyah had a lot go on after the killings, personal things and tara never forced her to do anything she didn't want to do. she was the only one who didn't bombard her with questions after the breakup that he didn't want to answer. she asked every now and the. just to check if she's ready and then moves on.

growing up you wouldn't think these two girls who met each other so little would be so close after being around eachother all these years, hell, last year you wouldn't think that but now it's them always.

they continued getting ready and got a text from some of their familiars from class they were walking with to the party. tonight was going to be a long night.

they were walking and tara was dressed as a pirate and sereyah was a greek goddess, nobody specific. somebody stopped and called tara and she tired around recongnizing him, "jason! are you and greg gonna come to the okb party?"

sereyah was behind her waiting for her to finish, "well if he finishes his spanish project on time? yes, we will. is your sister coming?"

sereyah and tara chuckled, "no, sam wouldn't be caught dead at a frat party."

jason spoke and sereyah pulled tara a bit so they could go, "there's a first time for everything."

tara chuckled, "not tonight though."

jason questioned, "can't convince her?"

sereyah and tara locked arms, "that's not my problem, that's yours."

jason let it go and sereyah chuckled and looked at tara, "he's into sam?"

tara laughed, "yeah, but she'll never go for him."

"sucks be him i guess." they both laughed a bit tipsy.

they might've pre-gamed.
