sereyah sat on the theater stage as everybody dispersed being left with only chad. she just looked around at the the place not moving when she felt him sit beside her she just sighed, "this is what we're gonna be for the rest of our..." she stopped her words.

the rest of their lives couldn't be guaranteed with another psycho on the loose.

chad knew what she meant and don't even know how to comfort her because he knew she was right.

"people find joy in the worst of other peoples lives and that's never going to change. i just wish i could...not be so affected by it." sereyah explained looking at the shirt.

that stupid shirt that held a really bad moment in her life.

"i talked to your mom, i asked if my dad was okay. she said he was sticking to his regular routine. she went to go see him after she found out what was happening and suggested he should call me. he told her he was surprised i lasted this long." sereyah choked up at the end and chad was livid.

chad turned her face towards him, "hey, fuck that guy! if anybody deserves a long, happy life, it's you. and your going to have it okay? even if it doesn't involve me anymore, i want you to have that. it's surprising that that man lasted this long."

sereyah lightly smiled at him and grabbed his hand that was on her face, "you don't need to do this."

"i know." chad nodded softly.

"i don't deserve this from you." sereyah shook her head and moved his hands from her face as chad furrowed his eyebrows.

"rey, i'm just so confused. when will you tell me? you say that like you did something?" chad didn't want to bring it up but she's putting him through a lot of hoops every time they speak.

sereyah nodded and looked down not wanting to meet his eyes, "you're a good person. an amazing person. your going to graduate college, get a amazing job, live in a house next to mindys or some shit, have a bunch of kids, the life you always wanted."

chad shook his head, "rey i don't think i-"

"you are going to have that because that's what you deserve. but i don't think i am, i don't know if i want that. i don't know if i-" she chocked up and and calmed down, "i don't know i could if i wanted to."

chad looked at her, "what are you saying rey, i don't understand."

sereyah wiped her tear coming down her eye, "i went to the doctor a few weeks ago, for the check up. the stupid checkup you have to get after almost getting your guts turned inside out. they don't think- they don't think it would-" she looked away him close to sobbing and he got what she was saying.

his heart broke, not for him, but for the way she thought she couldn't tell him. the way she thought he wouldn't, i don't know, love her or something.

"rey it's-" he started but was interrupted by the rest of the group coming into the room.

sam looked towards them, "let's go, guys! kirby has a plan."

sereyah got herself together and nodded. she got up without looking at chad and just walked towards the door.
chad looked after her and took a deep breath at the information he just learned. he was confused, angry, sad but the one thing he knew is that he loved her. that love didn't have anything to do with how many a babies she could have.

he wanted to reassure of her that, and he will.

chad, mindy, ethan, and sereyah were in the van with kirby. she came up with the regular call tracing plan in every movie that never works.

mindy had the same thoughts and sereyah agreed with her sat between ethan and chad trying not to make eye contact with him after her confession, "so we're really doing the phone tracing and thing that never works in the movies." she mocked her point, "it'll be all, 'keep him talking, sam. two more minutes i've almost got him.' and then he hangs up just before we can get a lock."

"i can trace a call in under fifteen seconds." she tried to put mindy's point to rest and sereyah nodded impressed.

mindy's smug face dropped before it lit up again, "well you've got them out there as bait."

kirby sighed at her pessimistic comments, "because the killer usually calls from somewhere nearby."

"and you think they're safe because it's broad daylight in a public place?" mindy retorted.

"look, i am here. okay? and so is bailey."

"this is exactly how our uncle randy died. broad daylight. public place. yanked into a van, stab, stab, stab, no more randy!" mindy indeed have a point but the choice in words were questionable.

the other three looked at mindy in shock at the bluntness. ethan tried to ease the tension and offered some of his cheetos to chad and sereyah who both declined.

they stopped to get something after not being able to finish making their dinner last night and sereyah who remembered the sight of anika laying in the alley floor couldn't chew anything like the rest of them and decided to just have a mango smoothie. which the only reason she got was because chad begged her to eat something. she honestly wasn't hungry at all, but listened to him anyway to avoid his looks.

"hey, sam? stay frosty out there, okay?" kirby said to sam at mindy's words.

"we're good." sam answered her.

and ghostface did call. they found out he wasn't nowhere near close. but across town they heard tara question, "on west 96?"

kirby questioned her, "how did you know that?"

sereyah thought, "gale." she recalled her and tara making fun of gales rich, white woman living and tara telling her something about west 96.

kirby looked alarmed and told them to get ready to go. tara and sam had plans of their own. the four kids looked at each other recalling mindy's rules, and how they might be coming to life.

notes
yes, i did my research and got
my facts confirmed by a medical
professional. they're a big medical explanation
for her condition and what amber stabbed
exactly but that's too much work for her to explain
but now y'all know. chad's thoughts on the whole things
will be said in the scene, lol.
