Chapter 5. The New Tutor

Night time at Jisoo's room....

Nam Joon was crossing his arms while Jisoo was in front of him.

The clock was ticking and neither of them was talking.

Until Jisoo cleared her throat.

"Umm..so we won't waste time what shall we have to discuss?" She said awkwardly.

"Integers and Probability."

"What?"

"Do you want to be tutored or not?"

"Yes."

"Then no more asking what or why."

"Yes sir."

Jisoo first grabbed a bag full of cheesy chips.

As Nam Joon was discussing, she kept munching.

He was already on the next part and Jisoo grabbed another chips to munch on.

"Yah! Can you stop eating that?" He snatched the bags of potato chips and the cheesy chips awhile ago

"Sorry." Jisoo kept munching loudly while her mouth was so full.

"No manners." He scolded her like she was a little kid.

After their tutor session....

"Thank you so much Nam Joon for helping my daughter."

"No problem sir." He replied and bowed down bringing his suitcase with him full of materials.

Jisoo was behind her father and he could only give a glare.

Fastforward>>>>

Nam Joon immediately dived right unto his couch as the gaming live started.

Yes come on! Koala gamer is back!

He commented.

On the other side....

She saw a lot of comments pouring in.

This time even if her face was not shown she decided to speak to be interactive this time.

"Hey, thank you so much for the support." She said.

Back at Nam Joon's side.....

Huh? Why is this voice so familiar...Nam Joon thought.

"Don't forget to subscribe and happy watching!" koalagamer said.

Nam Joon held the phone closer, he really wanted koalagamer's identity to be revealed.

But he couldn't seem to grasp it.

The next morning.....

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Nam Joon was surprised when confetti was thrown as he entered their classroom.

"Yah happy birthday bro!" Jaehyun wrapped his arm around his shoulder.

Then he gave him a gift

It was a limited edition comics.

"Wow. Thanks." He told Jaehyun.

Then Nam Joon received Mina and Sana's gift.

Mina gave him a sweater, while Sana gave him a watch.

"Joonie. Keep that and wear it if you have to." Sana said, biting her lip and twirling her hair.

"Thanks Mina and Sana." He said.

He went back outside and saw Jisoo from afar.

She was smiling and running towards him.

He froze in his place as everything went in slow motion.

Then she stopped in front of him then showed him a paperbag with a happy face sticker.

"To return the favor for tutoring me last night. Here."

Nam Joon took the paperbag.

"Happy birthday." Jisoo smiled at him and he stared at her.

"Stop approaching me in school as if we're close."

"Tsk. Come on. We have been classmates and now you're tutoring me. Happy birthday" She smiled before leaving.

Nam Joon placed the gifts inside his locker only to realize that the paper bag was still there.

"Hey Nam Joon! Happy birthday!...My gift, I will just send it to you later what is that?" Jackson wrapped his arm around his shoulder.

"Oh this? It was given by that girl."

"Who do you mean? Jisoo?"

"Yes. Apparently I'm tutoring her right now."

"Huh?"

"Our dads are bestfriends and her dad asked for my favor."

"Dude... Wow...isn't that fate?"

"What are you talking about. Don't spout nonsense. This paperbag? I'm just gonna throw it anyway."

Nam Joon tossed it on the trash can.

"Alright then. Come on, let's watch some game."

Nam Joon and Jackson continued walking then Nam Joon looked back at the paperbag.

That night...

"So...how was the lunch box I gave you?" Jisoo asked as Nam Joon sat across her.

"Lunch box?"

"Yeah. I created it during my cooking class. I enrolled in one thanks to my mom."

"I hope you don't mess up the ingredients."

"Yah I may be stupid in academics but in food I am not."

"It was bearable."

"Tsk...such a comment. I poured my heart into making that. See?"

She showed her burnt arm.

Then Nam Joon suddenly felt a wave of guilt.

He remembered the way he tossed the paper bag.

"You know from now on everyday. I will be making you lunch boxes from my cooking class in return of you tutoring me. Don't say no to that." Jisoo pouted.

"Yah! Stop with all this nonsense. I can eat on my own. Let's start with this session."

Jisoo scoffed and rolled her eyes while pouting.
