After receiving a call, Ryuu hurried home, feeling a great urgency to get there as soon as possible. Despite stumbling on the way, he got up and continued running without stopping, ignoring the pain he felt. Finally, as he neared his house, he increased his speed and crashed into the door with such force that it burst open.
Upon entering, she discovered that her father was cornering her mother, who was crying inconsolably.
Ryuu acted quickly and without a second thought lunged towards his father, hitting him in the face hard enough to knock him down and stun him for a moment. Immediately after, Ryuu went to comfort his mother, who was trembling with fear, and hugged her.
-Let's go, mother! -said Ryuu in despair.
-I can't leave your father, son," said Nara crying.
Shikirai touched his head a little, still confused by what was happening.
-Please, mother, this is the time! -said Ryuu.
Nara pondered the situation for a moment, as Shikirai began to regain consciousness.
-All right, let's go," said Nara.
Ryuu took his mother's hand and led her out of the house. Just as he was about to close the door, Shikirai grabbed Ryuu by the hand and dragged him forcibly into the house.
Ryuu crashed into a wall as his father closed the door, leaving Nara outside. She was shocked by what was happening and the danger of a fight between her husband and son. In desperation, Nara begged Shikirai to stop, trying to make him see that there was no need to go to such extremes, but he refused and wanted to teach his son a lesson.
-Did you really think it would be that easy son? -said Shikirai.
-I knew it wouldn't be easy, father, but I can't let you go through with this anymore. - said Ryuu.
After hearing what Ryuu said, he starts to laugh in a mocking tone.
-Well, what are you going to do, hit me? -said Shikirai.
-That's exactly what I plan to do. -said Ryuu seriously.
Nara through a window manages to observe everything that is happening in the house, who keeps begging them to stop this madness.
Meanwhile Ryuu and Shikirai have a few seconds of staring.
-I see that you have determination, that's admirable. -said Shikirai.
-Thank you, father, but I can't say the same for you. -said Ryuu.
-Because of your mother, I only treat her that way because she deserves it. -said Shikirai.
After hearing Shikirai's justification, Ryuu gets angry and without thinking twice, he attacks by throwing a punch at his father's face. However, Shikirai is more experienced in combat and easily dodges the blow, returning it with a punch to the stomach that leaves Ryuu kneeling and in pain. Nara watches everything that is happening as she cries at the sight of her son being beaten mercilessly.
-Is that all you have? -said Shikirai, as he mocked his son.
With each taunt, Ryuu grew angrier.
-Get up! -Shikirai exclaimed.
Ryuu stood up and faced his father face to face.
-Very good, that's the way I like it," said Shikirai with satisfaction.
In his mind, Ryuu began to devise a plan to defeat his father, as his father was taller and stronger than him, which put him at a distinct disadvantage. He observed his surroundings and noticed that he could use some objects in the place to fight, including a balcony that was nearby. He decided to take it.
-Are you really going to fight like that?! -said Shikirai laughing.
-You're nothing but a disgrace, a real man fights with a bare fist. -said Shikirai.
Shikirai's words caused Ryuu to let go of the balcony and go bare fist.
Despite being at a disadvantage, Ryuu wanted to show what he was made of and decided to take that risk.
Shikirai took the first punch, but now Ryuu reacted quickly and managed to connect one to the face effectively, knocking his father back.
-That was a good hit for sure. -said Shikikirai. -But it won't be enough.
The two began to deal blows to each other mercilessly. At some points, the fight seemed to be defined by Shikirai, but Ryuu managed to counterattack. There were several minutes of tension in which Nara observed everything from the outside.
Ryuu manages to connect a last precise blow, but fatigue makes him fall to the ground. His father, Shikirai, also falls dizzy from the impact. Ryuu feels limp, with difficulty breathing and pains all over his body. Meanwhile, Shikirai struggles to get to his feet, but falls again and again, until he finally passes out. Ryuu realizes that his father has lost consciousness.
With all his strength, Ryuu gets up from the ground and heads for the door, where his mother is waiting for them. Opening the door, Ryuu falls again due to fatigue. His mother tries to help him up, but she too is hurt from the blows. Despite his fatigue, Ryuu perseveres and manages to stand up. Together they slowly walk away from the house, leaving Shikirai unconscious on the ground.
After a while of walking, Ryuu manages to rent a small apartment where they can live.
-Where did you get the money? -asked Nara.
-I've been saving the money. Luckily, I had enough for the apartment, although I could only pay for one month. I have to get a job," said Ryuu.
Seeing how Ryuu struggles to keep her safe, Nara breaks down in tears and feels guilty that this is happening to both of them. Ryuu goes over and hugs his mother to reassure her.
-I told you, mother, I would do anything for you. You are my mother and I would never leave you alone," Ryuu said to reassure her.
Hours later, night comes and Shikirai wakes up remembering the blow Ryuu gave him. Filled with anger, he tells himself that this brat will confront him for defying him, even though he is his father. Shikirai assures Ryuu and Nara can consider themselves dead, as he will show no mercy to either of them. He laughs in an unhinged manner as he thinks of his plan.
The next morning arrived and Sakura was greeted by the high school students in the best way, as always. However, when she arrived at the classroom she noticed that Ryuu was not present, and although she thought that he had been delayed, the hours passed and the classes ended without his presence. This worried Sakura, as she had no way to contact Ryuu, so she decided to ask him the next day. She gathered her things and headed home, feeling lonely and remembering the time Ryuu accompanied her home, feeling safe by her side and missing him.
Suddenly, on the way, she saw Ryuu in the distance and noticed his bruises. She wondered what had happened and decided to go and ask him why he had not attended classes.
