The Prince's Lonely Artist

Chapter 4

"Do you want to go to Prom with me?"

Kaveh couldn't believe what he just heard, someone he barely even knew, they never even really talked just asked him to prom and what's worse is that he is the prince

Time went still for a while neither Kaveh nor Alhaitham talked

"Listen... I appreciate everything but... We haven't even known each other very long and, are you sure this isn't just because I saved you?"

Alhaitham went silent as he thought was it because he saved him?

They sat there for 5 minutes while Alhaitham thought

"It isn't, to be frank with you, I have sorta always had a small crush on you since the 2nd grade"
He takes out his wallet to show a small picture, a drawing a bad drawing but Kaveh imitate remembers it

Back in the 2nd grade Kavehs dad died he didn't want to do anything at that time he cried in class and wouldn't pay attention he also got into arguments a whole bunch, especially with this one kid he couldn't remember because everything back then was a blur but he now knows its Alhaitham

He would argue that drawing in class was stupid and Kaveh wasn't having it so he drew him to show him he was wrong but Alhaitham absolutely loved it after that he stopped saying drawing was stupid but stopped talking to him in general and it kinda saddened him but Alhaitham gained a crush on the artist
When Alhaitham's parents homeschooled him and took him out of school both of the children had to say goodbye

"You were that boy... The one who said that art was stupid?" Kaveh was kinda annoyed

"Yeah, I was in the mindset that art would get you nowhere in life and that it's stupid"

"You think art is stupid?! Excuse me! Art is everywhere that outfit you are wearing? Art the school architecture art!" Kaveh yelled at him and almost threw the bouquet at him

"Well Yeah I understand that now- it's just back then I thought that but you changed my view, I kept the art because it reminded me of you" Alhaitham was getting kinda nervous

Kaveh could barely breathe he didn't know what to say to think Alhaitham had liked him since the 2nd grade

"Alright here is the deal Haitham there are 3 weeks before prom, this isn't a rejection or exception, you have 2 in a half weeks to win me over if you really want to go with me"

"alright tomorrow you don't work meet me at Sumaru Park (Idk what to name it) at 12 pm I already have a date ready"

"Wait- why do you already have a date planned?!"

Alhaitham just walked away back to his friends

"Hey! Don't just walk away!.... Jeez, how rude... What time is it again?"

And that is how Kaveh showed up late to work, but wow it was hard for him to focus that day all he could think about what his date with Alhaitham
