Interviewer: Did you know it was the end?

Aislinn Loving: Nobody did, at least not until we went up on that stage.

October 4, 1977

Aislinn led Camila back to her room as she tried to relax, waiting until they were in the safety of Camila's room to ask what was going on. On the way up to the hotel room, silence had filled the elevator, neither of them choosing to speak until they were in the comfort of the room.

Closing the door behind her, Aislinn sat down on the couch, patting the spot next to her asking Camila to join her. Aislinn looked at Camila, waiting for her to say something, seeing as Camila stayed silent. Aislinn decided to break the silence.

"Camila, what happened?" Aislinn asked concerned. While Aislinn had an idea that Camila's fallen expression had to do with Billy, she first needed to hear it come out of her sister in law. She also knew there was no way she was going to tell her about the confrontment she had faced hours earlier by Billy.

"I'm leaving." Camila spoke, finally glancing back at Aislinn. "You're leaving?" Aislinn asked stunned, not expecting to hear that.

"I can't do this anymore to me or Julia." Camila sighed. "He's- he's obviously in love with Daisy. While I should be upset with him, a part of me isn't, knowing that I no longer love him in the way I used to." Camila confessed.

It was the truth, it had been for a while now. Ever since Camila had started an affair with her ex, she had felt so free and no guilt surrounding the now lack of emotion she had for Billy. In the past few days that everyone had arrived to Pittsburgh, Camila could see the love between Billy and Daisy, and she couldn't blame them. How can you not fall in love with someone you've written love songs with.

"I- I don't know what to say." Aislinn spoke softly, unaware that this was what had gone on with Camila since she had last seen her in New Orleans. She was happy to know that Camila was finally doing what should be done for herself. But there was a part of her that was sad to know Camila was leaving the tour so soon.

"I know it's abrupt, but I've been thinking about doing this for a while now and today was a clear indication that I needed to do it. For Julia and me." Camila tightly smiled, as she turned to look at Nathaniel who smiled at her as if he knew what she said.

"So, you're not staying to watch the show tonight?" Aislinn asked, a feeling in her gut growing with the thought that this might be her last. Camila turned back to Aislinn, seeing the expression she held, it was clear to Camila that Aislinn wanted her there for unsaid reasons.

While Camila wasn't planning to go to the concert, something about the way Aislinn had proposed the idea, told her she should go. "Just think about it." Aislinn smiled as she stood up, grabbing Nathaniel's stroller.
