"D-don't look at me l-like that." Y/n giggled. "Not my fault I'm b-better than you." she laughed looking over at the deer next to her as she made breakfast for herself and the baby bear sitting on the island.
The deer called out. "Sorry, w-what was that? I don't s-speak deer." She laughed again. She served the freshly made pancakes to the child who was now sitting in her seat at the table.
The deer walked to her his hooves could be heard with every step he took. She looked up at him. Noticing how tall he was as a deer. "W-what. I don't know what food you e-eat, not like I can make you something." she sat down and continued to eat next to the child. The deer cried to get her attention. "What? W-what do you want me to do?" she asked the animal motioning its head to its form. "you want m-me to get into my fox form?" she asked. He nodded in reply.
"Um, Sunny can I go to my room for a bit." the child next to her asked. "of course," Y/n replied. The child ran off upstairs. She got up, put her and Dawn's plates away, and started cleaning. Again the buck called out to her. "Jesus f-fine I'm going to." after Y/n put the plates on the drying rack she turned to the animal. Signing she closed her eyes and her form changed to a fox.
"Better?" Y/n asked. "very much so," Alastor replied. "why do you want me in my animal form?" Y/n asked. "so I can communicate with you dear. I can hear you, you can't hear me." Alastor walked out of the kitchen to the living room where the fire was lit. "The whole point of the deal was you couldn't communicate because you lost." Y/n followed Alastor to the living room sitting in front of the fire on the rug in front of the couch. "Ah yes, though I think that we came to a draw." Alastor sat down next to her. "What! That's bullshit." The fox growled. "I won and that's that. I never begged you to be a saw loser," Y/n added.
Y/n paused for a second. "why can't I change out of my animal form." she whispered just enough for her so-called friend to hear. "You fucking sore loser you trapped me." she yelled. "why yes, yes I did problem shared is a problem halved." Alastor laughed. "I hate you so much. Who's gonna take care of Dawn now? Huh ever think of that?!" she sat up angered. "oh she will be fine you can still communicate I just can't because frankly deals a deal." Alastor sighed getting relaxed. "now you can stay here with me until the 48 hours are finished." He laughed. "I hate you." "I get that a lot."
Huffing Y/n curled up into a ball her tail wrapping around her small fox form she laid her head on her stomach closing her eyes. She knew this was going to be a long 48 hours. Smiling Alastor thought about starting a conversation. "Why don't you tell me a bit about yourself?" He looked towards her. "Wow, never thought someone like you actually would ask something like that," Y/n replied sarcastically keeping her head placed on her stomach. Alastor chuckled. "Well yes, but were stuck like this for 48 hours and we can't do anything but talk to each other so why not get to know each other." He answered. "So why don't you tell me a bit about yourself?" He repeated.
Sighing she knew the deer was right. Turning her head toward him she began to talk. "Well, I like writing books," Y/n answered resting her head on the ground. "Oh, what kind of books," Alastor asked. The fox demon suddenly felt flustered remembering the book she was currently publishing was about a romance between him and her OC so Y/n calmly said. "Fiction. Romance, horror anything really." She calmed down waiting for his response. "Thats surely interesting. What other thing are you interested in?" Alastor asked.
She looked at him. "Music, singing, reading, dancing, cooking sometimes," Y/n answered. "Well, you are a great dance partner." Alastor smiled remembering the times when they danced together. He looked over to the fox noticing she was also thinking about it. "Yeah, well you're not so bad yourself." She answered looking away.
"What about you what things are you interested in?" She asked actually wanting to hear about what he was interested in. "Well dear, I'm interested in many things such as singing, reading, dancing, and cooking much like yourself but I also like musicals, art, and hunting." He smiled. "What do you hunt?" She asked now resting her head on the ground again while facing him. "Rabbits, ducks, deer, humans." Alastor chuckled darkly also laying his head against the ground facing her. "Why am I not surprised." the fox chuckled along with him.
Not noticing it himself but he started to feel genuinely happy, and calm and noticed who he really was, but one thing in imparticular he felt something he couldn't pinpoint what it was, comfort, safety, trust for her maybe even a bit of love, he didn't know maybe all of the above.
"Your a very interesting woman you know dear." Alastor laughed. "Oh, and why's that." Y/n raised an eyebrow. "I am- am not quite sure you just have a stunning personality you seem unbothered but I can see you are," Alastor explained leaning forward. "You hide everything behind that mask of yours. It's like you have some sort of wall infront of your real emotions. Why is that why do you hide?" he said in all seriousness. She was taken aback by trying to take in everything he said to her. "I." She stammered. "I don't know. But you can't say it's only me your talking about. You smile all the time you can't tell me you have nothing to hide behind the smile mask of yours." she said quoting a bit of his words. "Everyone is the same we all have things to hind even you." She closed her eyes. He hummed. "I guess your right, my dear. Everyone has something to hide. What might be yours?" He asked. "It wouldn't be hidden if I wanted to tell someone. You would feel the same way if I asked you." Y/n opened her eyes at him. He was impressed with her word choice. "You left me speechless dear." his eyes his eyes relaxed "Speechless indeed."
"Hey, what happened to the overlord meeting you had to go to after the maze the other day?" Y/n asked. Alastor looked at her for a while taking in what she was saying and thinking for a moment until it clicked into his head. Alastor's eyes widened and he quickly stood. "Oh, my Lucifer! I forgot all about that. Why didn't to tell me!" Before Y/n could get her response back Alastor was already running towards the stairs. Before Y/n quickly called out. "Wait Alastor if you call them they won't be able to understand you!" But it was no use because he ran up the steps ignoring what you said.
Slowly walking into the room was Dawn holding her small bear in her hands. "Sunny? What was that about? Is Mr deer Man going to be okay?" The small child asked. "Oh, he just remembered something and got a bit stressed no need to worry," Y/n replied. "Oh and Sunny." Y/n hummed to the bear demon. "Why are you a fox?" Dawn asked tilting her head in a confused sort of way. "Because Mr deer Man is a sore loser." Y/n raised her voice slightly only to get a giggle in return from the bear demon.
