Unexpected love

The time has come

Millie POV:
4 teams left. That's all.
Us, Sweden, Germany and france.
Some of the best teams in the world.

Let's say things are really starting to feel real. We are in the semi final of a home euros, what can get better than that?
Having Alessia by side, that's what makes it better! I've never felt more lucky in my life.
It's been a few weeks that me and less have been together and I never want it to end. I'm not saying I'm going to get down on one knee right now but the thought has definitely crossed my mind. But then I realise we've not even made things official and I really want to.
I've been thinking the past couple days about how I want to ask her. I know less and even the most simplest thing she would love, but she deserves the world and I will do anything to give her what she deserves.
I need some help with this so while less is in the gym with lotte and some of the other girls I decide to message rach and tooney. They know us best and will be perfect help.

To Rach💕 and Tooney❤️‍🔥

Millie: hey girls! I need some help with something, do you mind coming to my room when you've got a chance!

Rach💕: yeah ofcourse mills, coming up now

Tooney❤️‍🔥: will be one minute!!!!!

Quite literally a minute later, Rachel and tooney come banging on the door.

Millie: thank you both for coming! I want to ask Alessia to be my girlfriend, but I'm not sure how. I don't want anything too dramatic but something big enough to assure her that she's all I want and more

Rachel: omg Millie yes!! I'm so happy eekkk!

Tooney: you've made her incredibly happy millie, it would be more honour to help!

So for the next couple hours, we gathered ideas and discussed a plan and then it all fell into place. The most perfect plan!

Alessia POV:
I woke up before Millie this morning, shock!
It's been a couple days since the spain game and the happy atmosphere still is amongst camp, everyone is pumped and ready for the Sweden game.
I've been in the gym for the past couple hours with lotte, Beth, Lucy and Georgia. I love spending time with the girls, but I can definitely feel Millie's presence missing. She's just so perfect to me and as soon as she walks into a room you know it's her. She's beaming all the time.
After a workout, I headed back up to our room for a shower. As I approached the door, Rachel and Ella were leaving saying goodbye to Millie.

Alessia: hey guys what are you doing here?

The three of them exchanged a look between them before looking back at me. Weird.

Millie: we were just watching tv talking about the upcoming game, I said they could come chill in our room as things are hectic downstairs haha

Rachel and Ella both nodded and agreed before saying their goodbyes.

I walked into the room and swung my arms around Millie's neck and inhaled her unique comforting scent. She wrapped her arms around my waist and pulled me into her as tight as she could.

Millie: hi beautiful, how was the gym?

I looked into her deep blue eyes and kissed her on the lips and gave her a smile which she returned.

Alessia: yeah it was good, I need a shower though, I'm sweaty and I smell.

Millie: yeah you do, I could smell you as soon as you walked in

Millie laughed finding herself hilarious and I playful hit her arm laughing back at her.
I headed into the bathroom and turned the shower on. I began to take my clothes off and then I felt a warm embrace from behind me. Wrapping her arms around my body from behind and placing small kisses on my neck.

Millie: mind if I join you?

Alessia: I would be crazy to say no.

Millie POV:
After a long shower, I'll admit we kept getting distracted, we changed into our training kits before heading downstairs for lunch and afternoon training.
We done partner exercises, penalty shootouts and a friendly game between us all. I say friendly as that's what it's called but we're all very competitive and hate loosing hahah.

After less bumping into Rachel and Ella in our doorway, I thought she would ask more questions but it seemed to go straight over her head. Sometimes it's a good thing that she's oblivious :)
Our plan was all in action, I've spoken to as many teammates as I could about it and asked them to pass the message around, without less finding out ofcourse.
I've decided to ask her on the day of the Sweden game, despite the result it's going to be a good day and honestly I'm not sure how much longer I can go without calling her my girlfriend.

A few days later: Match day

Alessia POV:
Today is Match day! Semi finals babyyyy!
We woke up bright and early, had breakfast and a team talk before heading onto the bus up to bramwell lane in sheffield.
Millie has been unusually quiet so far today. I assume it's tiredness and nerves for the day but I walk over to her before we get onto the coach and place my hands on her shoulders rubbing them on her soft skin.
She moans and leans her head back onto my shoulder.

Alessia: hi my love, I'm just checking you're okay, you've been quiet today!?

She turns round and places a kiss on my lips, I can taste her strawberry lipgloss and deepen the kiss, forgetting where we was for a second

Ella: eww get a room guys!
Everyone giggles at Ella's comments before Millie responds

Millie: I plan on taking her to a room after we win tonight!!!
That turns the giggles into cheers before everyone boards the bus

Millie: I'm good love, just nerves that's all.

Now in our seats, I place another kiss on her lips.

Alessia: you're going to be amazing!

Arsenal ladies! Who has put a curse on them, wishing leah a good recovery, she's going to be missed massively! And there plane setting on fire!! What's that all about!
On a positive note I met rafaelle in Sainsbury's the other day and got a photo!
And Ellen white has had her baby I'm so happy for her!!
And Ofcourse my favourites: Millie is still out which breaks my heart, can't wait to see her back on the pitch and Alessia is shining per usual!!
