Chapter 3: Giraffe Attack

-Song Ji Hyo-

I sighed and closed my locker. It was only my 2nd month at this school, but it feels like forever. I can't even walk through the hallways without getting attacked with eggs. I know, it's horrible. Imagine living in a life like that. Yesterday my mom asked me how school was and well...here's what I told her.

"Tell me... did you make any friends?" My mom sat down beside me on the couch. She watched me while I did my homework.

"Of course. I'm probably the most popular kid at school." I lied.

She smiled. "Oh really? How are the students like?"

"Um..." I shrugged. "They're okay..."

"That's great! I thought you'd have a hard time at school because of the situation we're in.."

"No, they're completely fine with it." I lied again. "Really?"

My mom smiled. "That's so great. I'm proud of you Ji Hyo!"

Well... I wasn't exactly lying was I? Ok, I guess I was. But I couldn't tell my mom that I'm getting bullied at school. I headed to my next class when I was unsurprisingly mobbed by a group of kids. I tried to get past them, but they wouldn't move. Great.

I stared at the tall boy in front me whom I recognized as Lee Kwang Soo.

"In order to pass, you have to have a dance battle with me." Kwang Soo said.

"What? Why?" I asked.

"Just so you can see how great of a dancer I am." Kwang Soo said. "I'm guessing you already know who SNSD is, right?"

I looked at him blankly. "Who?"

Kwang Soo scoffed. "Unbelievable. SNSD, Girls Generation? Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Jessica, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun. They debuted and are top stars now. Of course, they still come to school here. But not as often. Anyway, we'll dance to SNSD'S most popular song. Gee. Let's start!"

"No!"

But too late. The music had already started. Kwang Soo lip sung to the beginning part of the song and started dancing crazily. I watched him with my mouth wide open.

"Beat this!" Kwang Soo said and started shuffling his feet whenever Gee gee gee gee baby baby came on. I just decided to copy his dance moves at the same point, but he was dancing so fast that I couldn't keep up.

I stomped my foot in frustration. "AISH! I didn't want to go to class anyway." I walked in the opposite direction angrily when I bumped into somebody.

"Watch where you're going!" I said angrily, but when I looked up I wished I kept my mouth shut. "Oh, I'm sorry." I immediatly apologized.

Kim Jong Kook sighed. "I hate people that always annoy me. You should stop tryingn to purposely bump into me Ji Hyo otherwise people are going to start getting the wrong idea."

"What?" I asked. "No, it's not like that. It was an accident."

Jong Kook smiled. "You know, why don't you just leave school already Ji Hyo. You or you're other friends aren't wanted here. So why stay? Running Man HIgh is for the talented, smart and wealthy students. Not the poor, weak, stupid, lousy and untalented ones."

Anger boiled inside of me. "We're not poor, nor stupid or any of the other things you told us."

Jong Kook shook his head. "No, you're wrong Ji Hyo. Gary is stupid. Lizzy is untalented. Joongki is lousy. Nichkhun is weak and Song Ji Hyo is all of those including...poor."

I looked around and stared at him. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"You're losing your house, aren't you?" Jong Kook asked with a smile on his face.

How did he find out? I hadn't mentioned my outside of school problems to anyone...

"You're probably wondering how I know all this." Jong Kook said as if reading my mind. "Someone wants to take your land, right? Well, that someone is the father of my best friend. Ha-Dong-Hoon. HaHa."

I stared at him in shock. "W-what?"

Jong Kook nodded. "You see, HaHa has a strange obsession for Pororo, So, he asked his father to open up a toy store. Since you have so much un-usuable land, they're deciding to construct the Haroro toy store there. How much time do you have left to live there? A month?"

A lump formed in my throat. They were going to get rid of my house to build a...toy store? And this is all... HaHa's fault.

I swallowed and stared at Jong Kook who looked extremely happy. "I'm not going to t let them take my land. Never."

I stomped past him and my eye's started to get watery. I can't believe it. Where is HaHa? He's going to regret falling in love with Pororo."

-Kang Gary-

I slowly closed the door to the empty classroom and sighed. When I looked out the widow, Jong Kook fist pumped and went to watch Kwang Soo dance. Ji Hyo was losing her house? Why didn't she tell any of us? The past month, all the chosen students became really close friends... we'd promised not to keep secrets from each other. Where will Ji Hyo and her mom go if they have no where to live?

The bell rang and I walked out the classroom. On my way to my next class, I saw JI HYo walking by herself. I Debated in my head whether I should go walk with her or not. By the time I made my decision we had already reached the science lab.

Ji Hyo smiled when I opened the door for her. "Thank you."

"That's what friends are for." I said and I sat down in my seat next to Lizzy. HaHa and Ji Suk Jin sat across from us on the table next to us,. Kim Jong Kook and Ji Hyo sat on one side while Joongki and Yoo Jae Suk sat acriss frin them.

"Aish, where's the teacher?"Lizzy asked looking around once the bell rang. "He's late every day."

"Quit being impatient." Teacher Park will behere soon." Jeong JinWoon said with an annoyed tone in his face. I glanced at him and saw him sitting with Park Ji-Yeon, Kang So Ra and JB.

I noticed that Ji Hyo kept looking at HaHa like she wanted to say something.

"Ha Dong Hoon..." Ji Hyo started, but Teacher Park Jin-Young walked in at that moment so she stayed quiet.

"Everyone, please take out your homework from yesterday so that I can grade them." Teacher Park announced.

Once Teacher Park was done collecting all the homework, he gave us an assignment to finish by the end of the period.

"HaHa..." Ji Hyo whispered.

HaHa looked confused and stared at her. "Who? Me?"

Ji Hyo hesitated for a moment then nodded, "Yes. I need to talk to you after class. Outside in the courtyard."

HEY, HEY HEY! All my story updates will be happening a lot faster since summer vacation is coming! One more week left and I'm done with high school! For now at least. Anyway, here's the next chapter of Running Man High? Idk if a lot of people are reading this story, but whoever is then thanks! Means a whole lot since I'm working really hard on this story.
