Chapter 11: Gone Gary

"What?" I asked in disbelief. "Gary, what are you saying?"

Gary rubbed his hand behind his neck. "My mom and I... we're going to be leaving the country for a few days to England. And... my mom doesn't trust you guys enough to leave you at home by yourself."

"How long are you guys going to be gone?" I asked nervously.

"Only for a week but... but you can come back as soon as we get back home." Gary answered quickly "In the mean time you could stay at Joongki's place."

I sighed. "But Joongki is leaving for the break too. He's going to visit his father. And Nichkhun and Lizzy are spending the break with each other."

"Sorry." Gary mumbled. "I don't need to go if..."

"No, it's okay." I said. "There's still one more person who offered."

Gary's eyes widened. "No. Don't even think about saying his name."

"We have no where else to go Gary. There's no other choice." I said.

Gary hesitated then sighed. "Okay, but don't let him make you do anything weird while I'm gone. And don't forget that we're dating."

I nodded and smiled. "I promise."

Gary hugged me. "I'm sorry Ji Hyo. The minute I come back home then you can come back to my place, okay?"

"Okay."

Gary and I looked at Each other for a few seconds. Then, he slowly leaned In and kissed me. My eyes widened, and I was to shocked too moved. When Gary pulled away, he had an embarrassed look on his face. "Don't miss me while I'm gone."

I smiled, "What if I do miss you?"

Gary took out his phone from his pocket, "Call me. I have to go Ji Hyo ah. My flight leaves tomorrow morning."

"Have you started packing?" I asked.

"Nope." He answered.

"I'll help you."

Gary left to England with his mom the next day. Joongki also left to Tokyo in the afternoon. If Lizzy and Nickhun were available then I would've hung out with them, but they aren't. I feel like there might be something going on between those two. So, after Joongki left, I gave my mom Kim Jong Kook's address (which I got from Jae Suk) and we drove to his house.

I wish Gary never left. And for once I wish that there was school. Since we're on break I'm going to be in the same house with Jong Kook all week. What could possibly go wrong? I asked myself sarcastically.

"So, what's Kim Jong Kook like?" My mom asked as we drove to his house.

"Um... The complete opposite as Gary." I answered

"I can't wait to meet him. He sounds sweet." My mom said.

I looked out the windows and sighed. "Yep, he's real sweet."

My mom parked in front of a beautiful mansion with a large fountain in the center of the driveway. I looked out the window and noticed that Kim Jong Kook and his mom were waiting for us website the fountain. I sunk low in my chair so that Jong Kook wouldn't see me.

"Ji Hyo, come on!" My mom got outside the car and walked around to open the door. "Get out." She whispered.

"Ji Hyo, hello!" Jong Kook greeted loudly.
I glanced at him and saw him waving.
