Interview with Shimaira

How did you discovered Wattpad?

A friend of mine advised it :) She had been using Wattpad to read stories, and she knew I was writing my own novel, so she suggested it to me :D I am very grateful that she did, because if it wasn't for Wattpad, I wouldn't be where I am today :D

What inspired you to write?

I think I have to thank my friends at highschool for that. We read a lot of fanfictions back then, and a close friend of mine started to write her own. I wanted in on the fun :)

What was your first story that you've written?

My first ever story was Millennium, version 1 that is. It was on Quizilla. It was awful... Really, it was terrible. 9.8k words that did not get spellchecked, that lacked punctuation, and I didn't know what my enter key was for.... Not to mention character development and timeline were non-existent ^^;

What's your favourite book on Wattpad and who's your favourite author?

My favourite book is "On the Other Side" by weepingwillow17. I seriously LOVE that book and have read it twice now. I seldom read a book twice :) My favourite author is a tough one... I don't have a favourite one really :/ I have several :D @weepingwillow17 @Godhand @SheHopes

From all the books that you've written, which one is your favourite?

My personal favourite... Tough one... Lucius might be the most popular, but Millennium is my baby ♥

What's the best features on Wattpad? What is the worst?

I love everything about Wattpad really, from the community to the books :)

The only thing I hate about Wattpad is the amount of time I put in it xD I am quite the addict =P

Do you have any supporters at home for your writing?

My parents are very proud of me, but they don't read. My husband is very supportive, and I often force him to read my short stories before I upload them =P

How do you overcome writer's block?

Writing something else often helps, good music, or just plain old indulging in a good game :x

What kind of music do you listen to while writing?

What's your favourite actors/actresses?

I don't really have any ^^; I have no interest really in celebs :x But, if I have to pick a few.... Johnny Depp & Jason Momoa :3

If you could travel to any place in the world (even in books & movies), where will it be?

Avalon :3

Have you traveled? If so, what's the best place you've been?

I've been to a lot of places :D Turkey, Spain, Tunisia, Egypt, Kenya... (To name a few.) The best place I've ever been has to be the Maldives :3 That place was just tropical paradise ♥

Have you ever thought about making one of your books a movie?

I'd LOVE to see one of my works turned into a movie. When I write it plays in my head like a movie. So yeah, a movie ♥__♥ that would be so awesome...

If you could only choose one, which one will you pick for the movie?

Millennium, no question :)

Would you like to say anything to your supporters/friends on Wattpad? Any special shout outs to anyone specific?
