When someone dies too young,
A terrible tragedy.
But what about when it's not?
What about a murderer's execution?
If you were his daughter you would still cry, perhaps that's true.
But what about when you don't?
Some crimes are not illegal. It's not illegal to be an idiot, if violence isn't present.
Or to be absent, if you don't have custody.
Neither is it to play nice when you do show up.
If you and him were much the same, you might still cry.
But the daughter he hurt?
There's an empty seat at his funeral.
