The secret (not part of story)

A/N So you read from the last chapter about something that Sam and Veronica are keeping from Colby, Alex, Nate and the rest of their friends. They are cousins but on Sam's mother's side. The reason that Veronica doesn't want to tell Colby is yes it'll confuse him but also something else. It's because all her life whoever knew outside of their family that Sam and her were cousins they treated her differently. From when they were 3 and 4 to 11 and 12. Veronica hated it so much because they would say that she's the female version of Sam. When she wasn't at all she loved her cousin like a brother because she is a only child. And still does Sam has taken Veronica under his wing so to speak. Since she was a newborn baby Sam loves Veronica like a sibling. That's why when Dakota was hitting on Veronica Sam stepped in and said that Colby was dating her. Then Alex, because Sam swore to his aunt that he would protect her. And you also read that Sam Colby and Veronica have a secret code for when Veronica is uncomfortable. That code became a thing when Veronica was transfering to Sam and Colby's high school. Some guys were surrounded Ronnie as soon she stepped into the cafeteria. As you read Veronica isn't really a extrovert she's more of a introvert. So when random guys came up to her and surrounded her she was very uncomfortable. So Sam saw this and so did Colby and they pulled her away from the group. They created a code that next day that only they knew. It also is for when Sam or Colby want to leave from a place that they feel isn't the best. The code that they do is different for each of them but they know how to respond when one of them does the code. For Veronica it is cracking her knuckles three times and tapping her nose four times. For Colby it's tapping his temple five times then pulling his ears twice. For Sam it's tapping his right foot against the floor six times and his rubbing his left wrist twice. The reason its different for each of them is because it throws people off. And you might be asking so what if two out of the three aren't able to see the code. Well all three of them have apple Watchs so they tap their Watchs 7 times to alert the other two that they're uncomfortable and it'll send their location. And you might also be asking what if they don't have their Watchs on them. Well the same goes with their phone they will turn down the brightness and FaceTime them. What if their phone dies well they'll excuse themselves to get a drink and find the other two instead. And Alex and Nate knows the codes as well when they were all back in Kansas exploring. Katrina only knows of the secret codes doesn't know when they do them. It's not like Veronica doesn't trust Katrina it's just she and Kat have a secret code of their own when the guys aren't with them. Veronica's is rubbing her right shoulder twice and tapping her left foot four times on the floor. Kat's is "fixing" her left earing and cracking her knuckles four times.
