Riyeon was ten and Yeonghi was eight when they moved to their new house. "Yeonghi! Go pick your room!" The little girl smiled and ran upstairs. Riyeon followed but her parents stopped her. "Nope. You're helping us with the things." Riyeon frowned.

"Yeonghi always gets the nice things." She helped her parents with their bags and carried them inside.

"Riyeon eonnie! Let's play!" Yeonghi shouted that made Riyeon smile. She ran to Yeonghi's room and they played with their dolls. "Eonnie.. This is you wearing the sparkly pink gown and this is me, wearing this white night gown." Yeonghi pointed out.

"Why would I be wearing the pretty one?"

"'Cause you're really pretty. You're also tall and smart. I want to be like you." Riyeon smiled and hugged her sister.

"If only you knew what I've been going through.." Riyeon whispered.

"Riyeon! What did I tell you?! Go help me with the bags! Don't bother your sister." Their mother took Riyeon out.

"But mom we were just playing! Eomma!" Yeonghi left her room and ran to her mother. "Eonnie and I are playing.."

"She has things to do."

"Then I'll help her!"

Yeonghi looked at her older sister. She looks sad and was about to cry. "Ani.. You should continue playing with your dolls."

Riyeon and her mother left. "But I'm always alone.." Yeonghi sighed and went back to her room.

Fifteen years passed...

"You're pregnant? That's good news!" Her mom embraced her. "You made us so proud, Yeonghi.."

"I'm happy to know." She turned to Riyeon. "Mom.. Riyeon eonnie has something to say too."

"What is it? Another failure?"

"I.. I got promoted at work."

"Congratulations eonnie! See mom? Stop thinking of her as a failure. Riyeon eonnie is the best!" Riyeon smiled at her sister.

"Tsk. A promotion? Your younger sister is taking over the company! And you just got a promotion? It's not a big deal."

"You gave her the company?"

"Well she's better than you, what do you expect?" Riyeon looked at Yeonghi. "I know she's going to be the best CEO."

"Mom.. Why does she always have the nice things? You give her everything she ask for but you always say no to my requests. I'm also your daughter!"

"I've always known you were a failure since you're a kid. You're the black sheep of the family and I'm so disappointed in you. Whatever you do just, fails!"

"Mom! I do my best but you just ignored me! Even Yeonghi broke your favorite vase but you said it's fine. Why are treating me like this?"

"You can't get pregnant, remember? That means you're useless. Whatever you do.. Whether it's good or not.. It's not worth my time. I should've just aborted you."

"Mom! That's enough!"

"What kind of a parent are you?! You only care for Yeonghi! What about me?! I'm still your daughter."

"I don't care about you." Riyeon was taken aback by her mother's words. "Tsk. I lost my appetite." Her mom left the table, leaving her and Yeonghi.

"Eonnie-"

"Are you happy? You're her favorite. You should be, Yeonghi." Riyeon stood up and left.

After Junkyu was born..

"Work as a helper here so you can be useful for once. Yeonghi! Don't be a sister and make her do chores."

"Mom she's my sister! I can't."

"Then she's not a part of the family. She'll be walking on the streets without a place to stay."

"You can't do this to her! Why do you have to be so cruel?!"

"Do you want me to abandon you too? I can easily do that, Yeonghi. Are you going to do as I say?"

At least eonnie has a place to stay and food to eat.. It's hard for me but I have to. I can't let her walk lifelessly on the streets. Yeonghi thought.

"Yes mom."

Her mother left. Yeonghi turned to Riyeon. "Eonnie, I'm sorry.." Before Yeonghi could hug her sister, Riyeon turned away, leaving her.

"I swear I'll make your life miserable, Yeonghi. You and your family.. I'll make sure you'll suffer!"
