Moonlight creeped through the windows of her room, falling onto Aaradhya's face, waking her up from the deep slumber, making her squint her eyes. She sat on her bed, holding her head, wishing for the pain to go away.
"Bhabhi sa" "Jiji" She heard two voices calling her out. Following the sourve of sound, she looked at the entrance of her room to find Tejaswi and Saraswi standing there, looking worried. Pushing herself properly up, she greeted them back.
"Hi g- iss" She was to get down her bed but fell back due to the sharp pain striking in her head. She hissed painfully, making the two girls to rush to her side.
"Wait Jiji, I will get you medicine." Tejasvi said, taking out the first aid box from the bedside table. Reaching out for a headache pill, she passed it to Aaradhya alongside with a glass of water.
"Thanks" Aaradhya popped the pill into her mouth and laid her head against the headboard, closing her eyes in the hope it would decrease the pain. Instead... the events from the morning rushed down onto her as a flood. Placing a hand on her nape she was reminded of how she ran from the conference, Abhyaansh following her, her panic attack, him calming her down and the rage in his eyes before she lost the battle to sleep.
Her eyes snapped open at the realization of Abhyaansh being angry.
"Where is Ansh?" She asked suddenly, panicked about his whereabouts. Her sister as well as her sister-in law refused to meet her gaze and stared at their hands in their laps, making Aaradhya more nervous about what might have gone wrong in her absence.
"Sara, Teja.. Ansh kaha hain? (Where's Ansh?)" Tejaswi looked at Sara and nodded. asking Saraswi to tell Aaradhya.
"Bhabhi sa..Bhai sa kahan hai ye ghar pe kisi ko nahi pata (No one at home knows where bhai sa is)" Aaradhya stood up from the bed, rummaging through her dressing table to find her phone.
