Like a fool / Aemond / aegon out now
"From House Tyrell and the people of the Reach, Your Grace, it is my honor to present you with this wedding cup." mace declared placing it before joffrey. "May you and my daughter Margaery drink deep and live long." Mace declared.
" A handsome goblet, my lord. Or shall I call you Father?" Joffrey agreed.
" I shall be honored, Your Grace. " he bowed before heading back to his seat. Taeylor looked to Tywin his hand in hers stroking his thumb over the top of her hand. He kissed her cheek when he caught her staring at him.
"Taeylor." her father called out.
"Oh... excuse me." Taeylor whispered getting up. Tywin looked to his brother
" She's the whore I told you about. The dark-haired one." Cersei whispered to her father.
"Have her brought to the Tower of the Hand before the wedding." Tywin instructed.
"A book?" joffrey groaned.
"Father."
"Taeylor," Kevan answered.
"Are you well?"
"Are you pregnant?"
"No." Taeylor whispered.
"You always wanted children." he countered.
" "The Lives of Four Kings." Grand Maester Kaeth's history of the reigns of Daeron the Young Dragon, Baelor the Blessed, Aegon the Unworthy, and Daeron the Good. A book every king should read." Tyrion agreed. Joffrey stared back at him as tywin approached.
"Now that the war is won, we should all find time for wisdom. Thank you, Uncle." Joffrey agreed stiffly.
" One of only two Valyrian steel swords in the capital, Your Grace, freshly forged in your honor from myself and Taeylor." Tywin remarked. Joffrey exuberantly, unsheathed the sword.
"Careful, Your Grace. Nothing cuts like Valyrian steel." Pycelle warned.
"It's not like we are not trying.' Taeylor mumbled. Kevan wanted to gag. "You brought it up." She added harshly.
"I just assumed you would be- he is too old." Kevan decided.
"He treats me right, is that not what you want for your daughter?"
"I want greatness for you." Kevan assured. "Thats not my brother unless he can give you Casterly rock."
"Well then I suppose I will have to ravish him more!" Taeylor sassed. Kevan turned his mouth open in a gag. She marched off moving back to Tywin's side.
" So they say." he chopped at the book Tyrion gave him. Tyrion rolled his eyes stepping farther away. "Such a great sword should have a name. What shall I call her?"
"Stormbringer."
" Terminus."
" Widow's Wail."
" Wolfsbane." the people called out.
" Widow's Wail. I like that. Every time I use it, it'll be like cutting off Ned Stark's head all over again."
"My brother looks thrilled." Tywin remarked.
"He is upset we are not pregnant." Taeylor murmured.
"Did you tell my brother we tried for once twice this morning?"
"I told him similarly." Taeylor agreed. "He didnt appreciate it." Tywin chuckled pulling her into his side.
"Let it be known that Margaery of House Tyrell and Joffrey of the Houses Lannister and Baratheon are one heart, one flesh, one soul. Cursed be he who would seek to tear them asunder."
"With this kiss, I pledge my love."
"Bit much, wouldn't you say?" Tywin drawled holding to Taeylors hand as they looked around the feast.
" It feels proportionate." Olenna challenged.
" Proportionate to what?" Tywin countered.
" The expected extravagance." Olenna clarified.
" People who spend their money on this sort of nonsense tend not to have it for long." Tywin corrected.
"You ought to try enjoying something before you die. You might find it suits you." olenna countered as her son approached. " Not now, Mace. Lord Tywin and I are speaking." she demanded. "Anyway, I don't know what you're complaining about. I'm paying my share."
"Shall we stick golden roses in half the meat pies to commemorate your generosity?"
"Golden roses, that would have been beautiful." Taeylor remarked. "I know not the point but still."
"She is so lovely, Tywin, I still dont know how you conned her into marrying you." Olenna remarked. "And No, your heartfelt thank you is its own reward. I would imagine I'd be hearing it again before long. Wars are rather expensive. "The Iron Bank will have it's due." How they love to remind everyone. Almost as much as you Lannisters with your debts."
"I'm not worried about the Iron Bank." Tywin assured.
"And I pay my debts quickly, I dont like people thinking I owe them." Taeylor added. Tywin nodded, it was a good approach, that was why she would survive this blasted game.
"We both know you're smarter than that. Come, Tywin, let us celebrate young love."
Tywin looked to Taeylor she was all the young love he needed and she knew it.
" Lord Tyrion, you see?" Olenne went on as she spoke with Sansa. "Not as bad as all that. Perhaps if your pauper husband were to sell his mule and his last pair of shoes, he might be able to afford to bring you to Highgarden for a visit. Now that peace has come and all is right with the world, it would do you good to see some of it. You must excuse me. It's time I ate some of this food I paid for." Olenna added.
"A coat of gold / Or a coat of red / A lion still has claws And mine, my lord..." The musician sung out.
"I could do better than that." Taeylor murmured. "His lyre is clearly out of tune, just the slightest due to the heat, he should have rechecked it before he began," Tywin smiled back at her running a hand through her hair. "Just saying."
"Very good. Very good. Off you go." Joffrey shouted throwing some coin.
"he is not a fan of the arts." Taeylor murmured. "What a bore."
"My love, why don't we make the announcement?" Margaery suggested joffrey clanked his goblet.
" Everyone. The queen would like to say a few words."
"We are so fortunate to enjoy this marvelous food and drink. Not all among us are so lucky. To thank the gods for bringing the recent war to a just end, King Joffrey has decreed that the leftovers from our feast be given to the poorest in his city." Margaery answered.
" You're an example to us all." Cersei told Margaery kissing her on each cheek.
" Ser Jaime, I'm very sorry."
"Ser Loras, it's quite all right. Your sister looks very beautiful." Jaime offered.
" As does yours." Loras agreed, Jaime's lips pursed.
" So, looking forward to your wedding?"
"Yes, very much." Loras lied.
"You poor soul, Loras." Taeylor countered getting another drink. "Robert escaped Cersei's clutches through death." Jaime scowled back at her. "Maybe you send her on a hunt and pray for a vicious boar." Loras chuckled glancing between them. "Oh Jaime , didnt see you- wow that hand... reflective. If you would have married me 20 some years ago you would probably still have two hands and legit children." Taeylor whispered in her ear with a mischievous smile before heading off.
