Nineteen
Nadazhda landed on her comfy bed to take a little nap only to find her eyes fluttered open due to the creaking of the door; Zeke peeked his head in before smiling cheekily while his eyes twinkled with unholy mischief, and she groaned loudly.

"Split it out," she said, straightening her stiff tiny muscles.

"Well, lover boy is asking for you," he wiggled his brows playfully. The stinging in her heart eased softly when she heard that Zaccheus wanted to see her. A radiant rose to her lips with some unfathomable bubbles of happiness.

What is this feeling? She wondered because she didn't understand. Nadazhda just wanted to be with him every time, anytime, everywhere and anywhere. She had low self-esteem, but with him, she felt a sense of belonging to this realm as a human, like she was someone important. Her relationship with him didn't understand even when he told her about his secret. Nadazhda felt at ease and happy that he could confide in her by showing her his beasts, yet funny enough, she found his beasts endearing. Nadazhda always felt protected and secure with him. Everything about him was perfect, from the way his eyes watched like like a hawk or how his hand moulded with her tiny waist or how she felt giddy whenever...

"Ouch!" she moaned in pain, touching her forehead to ease where Zeke had flickered.

"Stop daydreaming!" he scowled at her with his hands on his waist while she pouted.

"I wasn't daydreaming," she defended while he raised his brow mockingly.

"I see," he nodded his head dramatically, "you weren't daydreaming but night-dreaming," he said in a high-pitched voice that dripped with sarcasm.

"I was just thinking why I always feel at ease with Zaccheus and.." Nadazhda's white skin was crimson red with embarrassment as she nibbled on her lips nervously.

"And...?"

"The sparks, electric..."

His eyes clicked on understanding before he patted her head like a mother hen, "don't worry, that small brain of yours, everything will b..." the stiffness of his body cut off his statement, and he stared at the wall while his eyes glistened with tears. His mind wasn't with her again. He was mind-linking someone.

At that moment, his brows were furrowed in deep thinking before a gasp escaped from his lips, and he wiped a lone tear from his eyes before he smiled at me, "loverboy is waiting for you. We can't keep him waiting."

"Where's he?" Nadazhda asked excitedly because she could not wait to see him, she didn't understand, but her heart yearned for him. She put her untamed beast; hair into a bun while some strains tickled her ears, making her giggle.

Zeke looked at her confusedly and pointed his gaze at her, asking, "are you okay?" while she nodded.

"Sure?"

"Sure," Nadazhda replied, forcing the hair strains behind her ears. As she jumped in fright when she heard the rambling of the thunder.

"It's okay, dear. And it happens whenever..." he paused a little and smiled sadly at her.

"When?..." she asked curiously.

"You'll soon know. I'm not in any position to tell you," he said dismissively, indicating the end of that discussion. Nadazhda whipped her head to the window whether the cloud was gloomy but found the sun at the high peak, shining to the fullest and maybe smiling at her.

She snorted at her silly thoughts. Why would the sun smile at her?

"It's somehow strange here," she voiced her thoughts while he stared at her.

"The thunder strikes, and the sun is smiling at me, and I hope I am not going crazy," she laughed nervously, rubbing the back of her neck.

"You aren't going crazy, my sugarcrush," he smiled knowingly at her, looking at the sky while his brows knitted in worries.

"What made him lose control?" Nadazhda heard Zeke mumble as she wanted to ask him what he meant. He tugged her hand abruptly, making her stumbled on her steps.

"Let's go quickly," he said hurriedly as his voice laced with fear.

They walked through many corridors before they stopped at a big mahogany door that had a blazing fire carved on it. Nadazhda stared at the design in perspectively, trying to understand what the burning fire that surrounded the wolf's head meant.

"Enter," she heard his voice command on the other side. The pain in her heart eased as if it wasn't there. She was nervous about entering, yet excited to see him. She didn't know what was wrong with her. She lost her common sense, which was not common whenever she was around him.

The door was widely opened as her gaze found him. It was like everything stopped working. Her breath hitched as she took in his Adonis's face. Nadazhda couldn't get enough of it even though she had seen him last night. His blue eyes swirled with emotions that were too suffocating for her beating heart. He stood from his seat and stalked towards her quickly, yet slowly. She was sure that he could hear how her heart was racing because of the proximity. He was affecting her. He pulled her in a tight hug as he sniffed her hair and sighed contentment, mumbling how he missed her. Nadazhda giggled lightly when he nibbled softly at the crook of her neck.

"Sorry to interrupt you, lovebirds, but we must see the Queen." Nadazhda jumped from his embrace when she heard a teasing man's voice in the room which made her raise her head abruptly in shock at seeing a big man behind him.

She didn't notice anyone inside. All her focus was on Zaccheus that she'd forget everyone, even Zeke.

She hid her flaming face in his perfect chest, embarrassingly.

He took a step back, which made her raise her head as he touched her cheeks softly before he pecked her forehead.

"I want to introduce you to someone." his gaze never left hers as he smiled, showing his prominent dimples. She nearly drools at his perfect face.

"Okay." Nadazhda nodded slowly while he held her tiny hand in his big hand, which engulfed it.

"Awwwwwn," she didn't know where this sound came from.

The man stepped forward, smiling at her while his eyes gave nothing, only knowledge, wisdom, and experience.

"I'm Alec knight, the decedent of King Solomon," he bowed his head a little while she stared at him dumbfounded because she didn't understand what was happening.

A descendant of King is bowing to you! Her common sense filled her in a while her eyes widened in horror.

A descendant was bowing!

The holy amino of protein!

Nadazhda quickly crouched on the floor, with her head down, "it is an honour meeting a descendant of the King. This poor ser...," her rambling was interrupted as Zaccheus pulled her up.

"You don't bow to anyone because everyone would bow to you, dear." Zaccheus said softly as he glared at the man heatedly, and the man's mouth twitched.

"He's a...," Nadazhda tried to defend her actions, but the booming sounds of someone or people's laughter made her scout closer to Zaccheus for protection. When the man noticed her movement, his eyes twinkled with understanding.

"I'm sorry for their inappropriate behaviour, my Queen," the man pointed to his side while bowing his head again.

She followed his pointed fingers and saw three identical beings in cloaks; their eyes were hidden behind the hoods.

They moved forward simultaneously at an average pace when they were a foot away from her; they bowed and said in unison, "Queen."

Nadazhda didn't understand a thing that was happening. She couldn't be a queen! Talk less of a lady. She was nobody, and she had nothing to offer!

"Time, Fate, and Destiny are at your service," they said together as their glowing colourful eyes revealed behind the hood.
