|43| - Aftermath

"This is wrong," Dahlia mumbles as she sits at the edge of the couch with her hands on the edge of the couch. "Kol, tell us that you don't believe this video!"

"I can't." Kol's face was pale and his cheeks were stained with dried up tears. "Lucy once told me about Uriel and his powers. He can compel the truth out of anyone, even an Angel. He definitely used it when he asked her that question."

"What if he didn't and Lucy just lied to him?" Finn asked. "It could be possible that this video is a fake. Nowadays, it's possible to morph videos and photos. Or what if that's another Angel in Lucy's disguise? It co-"

"Can we stop talking about Lucy?!" Kol snapped all of a sudden. "I have had it. She choose power and left family. Just accept it and move on!"

"In this family, we trust each other." Dahlia says getting up. "I trust our Lucy."

Kol scoffed, "Just like you trusted your sister, but look at what she did. She married the enemy and left you to die!"

Esther'e eyes teared up, while Dahlia froze up. Seeing Esther, Mikael screamed, "BOY! You better shut that mouth of yours!"

"You are all only willing to be blinded by love. But I am not. I trusted my siblings, Klaus, Elijah, and Rebekah. But they were willing to dispose of me without a thought."

"And Lucy saved you from that." Finn argued back, moving closer to Kol. "She saved you because she loved you as her closest friend at that time. So, how can you be so ungrateful to her?"

"I am not ungrateful for that. But I won't ruin myself by blind trust."

Finn laughs sarcastically, "Do it. You are anyways ruining yourself and your life and your children's lives by this!"

The young Morningstar-Mikaelsons siblings all sat together with the Morningstar-Saltzman twins, while Bonita was in the other room, playing with Bonnie and Henrik. The other adults are all downstairs.

The whole family felt sad after what happened. However, the children know nothing about the video because Kol didn't allow them to see it or hear it.

But they know that their mother was no longer in their house as they were unable to feel her presence.

Cory was the second youngest after Bonita in the family, you would expect the younger ones to be unaware of the situation. Even so, she was the one who was the most aware of her surroundings and situations.

She knew her siblings were upset and worried about their parents. She was upset and worried too and she wanted to do something about it. Because she was always the one to bring happy and positive vibe to her people. She wanted to lighten the mood and ease everyone. She wanted them to know that there's nothing to worry about. Because their parents always figure out ways to be with each other.

They all needed a distraction and she was about to give it to them.

"I need to complete my Magic History assignment." She hopped off the bed and made her way to the door. "And guess what." Her siblings turned to her waiting for her to continue. She smirked, saying, "I am going to write my paper on Malachi Parker."

Her siblings eyes widened.

"And not only that, I am also going to get an exclusive piece from the man himself."

"No way. You can't meet him." Cole says.

"Really?" Cory takes out the Ascendent from her pocket. She smiles at her shocked siblings before getting sucked into the prison world.

"Cory!"

Cory fell hard on the ground. "Ugh." She sat up and rubbed her back which was hurting from the impact. "Why can't I fall on all my fours like a cat?"

She scanned her surroundings. All she knew was that she was in the middle of a large green field.

"Huh. Expected it to be a little... I don't know. More Kai Parker styled." She heard about Kai Parker and how he loved pork rinds... and how he was a sociopath. But hey, Cory loves a good challenge.

"Oh. My. God." Lizzie was freaking out with Josie and Cole, who was holding the Ascendent. "She went in there! What do we do?! If our parents find out, we are die?!"

"She is all alone there with Malachi Parker!"

"Shh!" Kim hushed the three panicking teens down. "Let me think!"

They watched Laura leave the room, "Laura?!" They followed her and found her asking Bonita for her blood. 

"Hey, Bonita. Do you want to help me?" Laura asked with a smile, crouching down.

"Yes."

"Then, could you please give my a bit of your blood?"

"Has she gone crazy?! Asking Bonita for her blood?!" Kim whisper screamed.

"Okay!" Bonita grinned as she was happy to help her cousin.

"Look up." Bonita looked up and Laura swiftly put the needle in and took a small vial of blood. "Done. Thank you, Bonita." Laura kiss her forehead. Bonita giggled, "You're welcome!"

Laura smiled before making way to Kim. She raises the vial of blood, "We need Bennet blood to get out of the Ascendent..."
