April changed my life,

I walked into a world where I found you,

A sweet guy who showed me what love meant.

Spring swiftly sprung to summer,

We were falling in love.

So happy and living our best life.

I'll always cherish those moments.

I remember my blue-hair in June that was only temporary dye.

I remember your smile and the photos we took.

By summer things were so sure, so so in love.

We had our birthdays and I remember the lamp you made for me,

And the flowery dress I wore to the restaurant for our meal.

Summer was beautiful because of your love.

Summer was glorious and one never to forget.

Autumn is when things got dark.

You became sick,

At first we didn't know how serious.

And by winter you worked so hard to get better.

We loved each other so much.

And in Spring that came around just a year after we'd first met...

You died.

You died and I was utterly heart-broken.

For I had known your heart,

Your loving words and all the beauty of your soul.

I loved you with everything in me,

Everything that's good in me loved you.

It's been three years since these events touched my life,

Leaving me a different person than before I loved and lost you.

And I will always, always love you.

I think of you at different times in the day.

When I'm making a cup of tea,

Or talking to my mum on the phone about things.

You'll never leave my heart.

I do everything I can to dedicate little things to you.

Like learning Japanese because you spoke it as your second language.

Or getting a bumble bee cute teddy, because you called me bumble bee.

I will never forget you,

Never stop loving you.

April to April- meeting you- to losing you one year later.

But I am always thinking of you.

My story. Of the man I loved.
