Arguing In The Alley

Donnie and his brothers were outside, eating their pizza. Leo and Mikey, watching something on their phones, and Raph, who for some reason kept swinging his head around.

"Raph, what are you looking at?" Donnie asked. His older brother jumped, not realizing Donnie had noticed him. "Nothing." He replied. "Don't lie. What is it?"

Raph looked over at his younger brothers, then signaled for Donnie to come closer.

"Alright. Don't look, but I think I see something in that alley over there."

Donnie almost turned immediately.

"Psst! Don't!"

He snapped his head back. "Right."

"What is it?" He asked. "I think it's that robot." Raph responded. "Albearto? Let me handle it." Donnie started slowly inching towards the alleyway, keeping his eye on his brother so the robot doesn't suspect anything. He knows his brother will alert him if he's spotted. But Raph looked confused. Donnie quickly spun around. There was no robot to be seen.

"Funny joke, brother."

"I- I'm serious, Donnie. He was right there-'' And then the big bot jumped right down to them. All four turtles hopped up, whipping out their weapons.

"Leo, get out of the way!." Donnie shouted. "Looks like the bag of bolts- huh?" Donnie carefully pushed his brother out of the way. "What the hell?" was all Leo could get out of his mouth before the robot started charging at them, swinging wildly.

"Stay back Leo!" Donnie shouted as his brother tried to get Donnie out of his way. Donnie didn't want to see or hear his brother get hurt again.

"Donnie, this is nothing compared to other things we've faced! I've gone through worse, what are you so worried about?"

While he tried thinking of something to say, Albearto turned his arm into a drill.

"Since I created him, I know him best. Let me handle it." He said, barely dodging the robot's swing.

"Right. Because you're doing such a good job right now!" Leo rolled his eyes.

"Donnie, I can handle it!"

"'Nardo, please."

"What? I can do it! What's scaring you?"

"It doesn't matter."

"If it doesn't matter then let me fight! He's not another Krang! You think I want to go back to the Prison Dimension, wondering if I'll ever see my family again? You think I want to get the shit beat out of me by a giant monster that almost destroyed the world I'm supposed to protect?"

Albearto tries swinging again, and Donnie briefly imagines the Krang, sending his tentacles to grab his brothers, going under their masks, reaching towards their-

"I see them every fucking night Donnie. Why do you think I stay up all night with you? Because if I go to sleep I'll see it all again. I'll be reminded that if you guys get hurt, it's my fault. My mistake, and maybe you guys would be better off-"

Leo stopped, realizing that everyone was looking at him. "What the actual fu-" Albearto said as Donnie sends him flying, still looking at his brother.

"Fucking piece of..." Leo mumbled as he stormed off. "I'll see you guys at the lair."
