70 years oldAquafina loved her large family. Aquarian and Kyron were married not to long after he went back to his home country. After he became her prophet they kept in close contact for over a year before he finally proposed. When she had finally assured him that she would be happy wherever he was he finally caved. She flapped and waved the ring to her parents with pride.
"He finally did it ma! Oh god I've never been so happy!" Aquafina could only smile and laugh as her daughter danced around the room in pure glee. Now the younger couple had many small children that littered the room and filled the air with their questions and gibbering. But Evan and Aquafina loved them all the same.
Then there was Rain and Horizon. The two boys had barely settled down by the age of thirty. But they were happy with lives, they loved to share their stories and even worked with Marine to write a few of them down.
Coral was married with no children. It was never something she had seen for herself but Aquafina supported her daughter with ever decision she made. But Coral was an amazing aunt. She sew dressed and taught the children to dance. She took them on shopping sprees and brought them into the noble society.
Marine became a well known seamstress. Her contract with the god of spring actually convinced her to stay chaste. She served her god with dignity and pride. Something Aquafina was all too happy to see for her daughter.
Then there was River. He married young and was divorced a total of three times until he met a daughter of the goddess of love, Aime. An enchanting woman who understood the boys scarred heart and soothed his mind. She happily sacrificed her godlyhood and came down to the mortal realm to be with River. Aquafina was happy to meet the young goddess and was always there to be a listening ear when times got tough. Being. God in the mortal world was a taxing thing. So she made sure show her support through every stop of the way.
Their family was big and happy. But Aquafina did not age the way Evan did. He grew tired while she brimmed with more life thank before. He grew wrinkled while her skin stayed pristine. He grew weak while she could only watch.

Evan was gone.
A small rain shower wasn't enough to cover the flood of tears that cascades down Aquafina's face. She was stuck in the mortal realm while her true love stared down at her from heaven.
"My love is this how you felt being so far away from me. Like we are worlds apart yet so close you can almost touch it?" She didn't know her heart could shatter as much as it was. Her family shared her grief. So did the country. Evan was a beloved kind, and respected man.
Aquafina's heart warmed at the abundance of prayers sent to the people's risen king. As Aquafina stared at the frame portrait of her husband she sadly smiled. She touched the frame before returning to her seat. "I will see you soon my love. Please just wait for me."

Her name was in the history books. So was Evan's. "It says here you were a wise and strong king who always put his people before himself," she chuckled. "I wonder what they would say if they knew how much of a cry baby you were back then."

"I have lived through too many of our children's funerals to want to say on this world any longer now."
She mourned her lost, not just her children but the blissful life she had once lived. The ignorant life.

"Rain says he will come up to heaven with me when my punishment reaches an end. I wonder what I should show him first?"
"Aquaria wants to wait till Khmer children have fully become prophets before she comes up to heaven. I sure will miss her."

Green eyes. Brown hair. A lean face, and a bright smile. "Welcome home," he opened his arms wide.
Tears brimmed in her eyes as she looked at her family that proudly waited at the gates of heaven for her. Not just her mortal family but the water gods. Her father dabbed his eyes with his wife's hanker-chief. Aquafina noticed how happy her parents seemed. Her heart warned at the scene.
She turned back to Evan who waited patiently for her. She ran with all her strength and leapt into his arms. She laughed as he twirled her around in the air . She hugged him close and proclaimed to her family through bated breath, "I'm home."
