Ch-6 Tiny Little Scuffle

Scout planes flew over the buildings as Sheffield and Edinburgh exited their hiding spot with Akashi. Sheffield shot down the scout planes, alerting everyone.

"We've been found out."

"Wh-what should we do ? W-we should get out of here!" Edinburgh was panicking like always and Akashi was no better.

"But the island is surrounded nya!"

"No, now is the best time to escape." Sheffield said and ran, followed by a nervous Akashi and Edinburgh.

"It seems that the Sakura Empire scout planes have found their target!" Prinz Eugen yawned and stood up.

"Then I guess it's time for us to put some actual effort in."

"This is a piece of cake! Now that I am here!" Z1 proclaimed as Z23 landed behind her.

"No, it may not be so easy."

"All guns, fire a volley!" Prince of Wales ordered as her ship fired rounds at the enemy.

Oklahoma and Repulse followed her lead and fired their shots as well. They all fired at the siren ships and Sakura Empire ships.

"This is a distraction. Do not be alarmed. They're using the fog to create distractions to rescue their friend." Shoukaku said.

"Shoukaku is right. Now we cannot solely rely on Iron Blood... Ayanami!" Takao called, making Ayanami look at her.

"We're heading out." Ayanami enveloped a serious expression and nodded.

"Even if it's just a distraction, we cannot simply ignore the enemy fleet completely." Atago said as Takao walked to the edge.

"We'll take care of them." They looked at Zuikaku and Shoukaku, both of whom looked determined to win.

"I'd the grey ghost is here, this time I will surely win!" Zuikaku declared.

After that, they all jumped onto the water and ran over to the island for an attack.

While that happened, Belfast, Cleveland, Javelin and Laffey all entered the island to rescue their comrades.

"This isn't good. We have to hurry!"

Unfortunately, they were late as Takao slammed herself onto a nearby building and jumped down to attack Cleveland, who was lucky enough to notice the attack and back away. Atago then landed behind Takao Nd they both took a battle stance.

Cleveland irked. "Worst timing ever. Laffey! Javelin! Watch out!"

Meanwhile, Javelin and Laffey, who were left behind, ended up encountering Ayanami.... again. It's almost like fate has chosen then to be together. Is it perhaps just a coincidence ? Or is this their destiny to fall together ?

Oklahoma was attacked by enemy jets as Zuikaku and Shoukaku landed near them, avoiding bullets and ignoring all the ships. Zuikaku had only one thing in mind. To find and defeat Enterprise. That was all she cared about.

However, it seems that Prinz Eugen found their targets and fired upon Sheffield from the top of a building with a smile on her face.

They avoided several shots, but couldn't dodge all of them as some hit their mark, damaging both ships. Z1 fired at them, forcing them to seperate as Z23 appeared behind Sheffield.

"There!" She launched a few torpedoes at Sheffield, which exploded on contact and damaged her even further.

"Sheffy!" Edinburgh rushed over to her side in worry.
