I woke up in the morning.
I heard Caleb's breathing when I awoke and I felt something pressed against my back.
I moved my hand toward it. I grabbed it firmly, only to find it was his morning wood. He felt bigger than I thought.
My face got redder than a summer tomato. I got up to avoid disturbing him, but it was a bit too quick and he stirred but didn't wake up.
I took a shower, brushed my teeth, and went to get breakfast started.
As I made breakfast, he came into the kitchen.
"What smells good?" Caleb asked.
"Well, I've got waffles, grits, eggs, and bacon. There's also coffee, milk, and orange juice to drink. I'm making sandwiches, banana pudding, and lemonade for lunch since it'll be sweltering hot. I've got to keep the men in my life around for as long as possible." I told him.
His dad walked in and told him, "Caleb, this boy is heaven on Earth. If you don't sweep him off his feet, I sure as heck will."
Caleb smiled and laughed.
I blushed hard.
"Umm... you see, sir, I don't think I'm that good. I learned from my mama and granny. They're the best cooks in my family. Mama taught me that a way to man's heart is his stomach, and granny taught me all about herbs, spices, and home remedies."
They looked surprised and shocked that I knew all this.
"Make sure y'all eat up real good now, ya hear. There's not many hours in the day." I told them.
As they sat down, I thought I heard Cooper tell his son, "That one is a keeper."
They started to eat while I got the kitchen cleaned. I ran the dishwasher and got out the list of groceries that I needed to buy soon. I made a simple syrup for the lemonade, got a pitcher out and set it in the fridge to chill.
I grabbed mint that I found growing wild on the edge of the farm. I also grabbed about five to six lemons. I added a cup of sugar to a cup of water and let that simmer for about five minutes. I squeezed two lemons in before I took it off the stove.
I added the mint by a handful and went about making the rest of the lemonade.
As they finished, Cooper left to get everything ready at the barn in the back.
Caleb came around to put his plate in the sink, and as he did, he took my face in his hands and tilted it up to him, saying in a soft, low rumble, "Thanks for breakfast, baby boy. It's been a while since I've had a good one. You're an amazing cook, and don't ever doubt that, ok?"
I nodded, and he gave me a peck on the cheek.

Caleb POV-
"You love that boy, don't you, Caleb? I see it all over your face. He's good to you, and you need that in your life. He brings out the best in you and tames the worst." Dad said, when I reached him out back.
I'm shocked that dad knew that. I've hidden it for so long that I don't know anymore.
"I'm going to be out of town for about 3 weeks. I had this on the books for a long time. I trust you to keep everything in order while I'm gone. I just forgot to mention it until I knew for certain that you were coming home." He continued
As he told me, I felt happy that I would be alone with him for 3 whole weeks.
"Yeah, dad. You can trust me. I've got this. I don't know if I can bring myself to tell him how I feel. I'm scared he won't feel the same. I don't know what I'll do when school's finally over and he's off with another man." I said.
