Sam POV-
It was the start of the semester and the start of Fall. Everything was colored with browns, reds and yellows. I saw a few pumpkins on campus.
The campus was swarming with freshmen trying to find their classes. I, too was a freshman at the University of South Carolina. My classes were hopefully great and I stayed on campus since it was included in the tuition.
As I walked to class, I spotted a guy I knew only by name which was Caleb. I think it was because I didn't talk to him and he didn't talk to me. He was tall, had the richest brown eyes and looked as though he works out a lot. Everyone knew who he was, even if they hadn't met him. He was the play boy, the popular one with guys and girls, even the professors had a thing for him sometimes.
I made my way to my dorm room. I asked for a single room, but sometimes they're not too keen on that and assured me they would try everything they could. I don't have a problem with a roommate, but I wasn't too good with confrontation.
I opened the door to find two beds and one was occupied by a tall man with a beard and smelled like the forest and juniper trees.
(Timothy)
He turned and said, "Hey, I'm Timothy. I normally go by Tim but since you're cute, Timothy is fine." He chuckled when I blushed. I explained that I didn't stay up late and if he went to parties to be quiet because I had a lot of early morning classes.
"There's no need to worry. I don't party a lot and when I do, I stay there or at a friends place." He assured me. We got settled in and he brushed against me while putting boxes under the bed. I caught a whiff of his cologne and how it smelled like spices and had an earthy undertone.

My phone rang and I answered it since it was a friend and they wanted to hang out in a bit. I told them that I could and as I hung up the phone, I put the rest of my things on the bed and headed out.
I met my friend at the café that was about a five minute walk from campus. It was called The Book Bean. It was served as a place to hangout and to study.
"Hey! How's it going?" My friend asked.
"It's going good. I can't wait to get classes started."
"Of course. I expected nothing less from you."
I laughed. He always joked that all I did was study. We hung out for a bit, talked about how we're going to have a great time, have fun while studying, and everything that two college freshmen could dream about.

As I got back to my room, Tim had put his stuff away and was laying on the bed reading a book. I saw that it was a romance book and found it nice that he read them.
